I visited her office for an appointment at 6 weeks, and returned for my first ultrasound at 8 weeks before deciding to switch OB’s. During my first visit, I shared my miscarriage anxieties after a former loss, and she replied “well, you do know 40% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, right?” She also did an uncomfortable cervical exam, and inserted her fingers and speculum without guiding me through her actions; or letting me know when she was beginning. I have always had previous providers vocalize their movements due to how invasive/anxiety-inducing it can be."
