"Nice place helpful folks very pleasant . Got my parking pass 40 bucks for year good at all VA parks.."
"Great stopping point for parking and visiting First Landing State Park beaches and trails for biking and hiking. Beautiful and well kept."
"We had a nice walk on the beach. Boardwalk is next to visitor center."
"There is a charge to park inside the park. It was 10.00 for one day during the weekend when we went. I’m not sure of pricing for more then one day or a park pass. I love this place in general and the visitor center will fill you in on what types of adventures are awaiting you in the park. It’s just a beautiful place. Def hit up the visitor center if this is first time there or if you need information on the park as well as other Virginia destinations so if you like pamphlets your in luck. They do have firewood and Ice for sale if your camping. They have a gift shop as well as a cafe. And if you lose sunglasses like we did in the ocean they sell them as well. Very cool inside. Very clean. Bathrooms available. I was happy to be at a beach area that had a visitor center as well as other a beautiful place to camp, hike, beach, etc. it’s just beautiful. You just have to be careful there are no lifeguards at the beach area we were at so if you have children regardless of where you are or if the tides out…it comes in very quickly and my fiancé had to swim out to save two children that were going under and panicky and almost drowned him. They are safe and I have to say at no point did I see any parents panicky or looking for their children. I always went with my kids and watched them like a hawk."
"The staff is always friendly, helpful and the place is very clean. Love camping with them, the bath houses are easy to access, staff will take care of any problems you have or anything that needs to be tended to or fixed. The camp has a quiet hour after 10 so everyone can rest an the access to the beach is wonderful. The beach itself has a lot to offer for younger childern or people who like myself can not swim or are just learning to swim. The tide stays low enough that everyone can enjoy time together an if you want deeper spots just walk out into the water. The beach is beautiful at sunset and clean. I love coming here an will continue to for years to come :) they do cost $7 at the door for a parking pass during the week or $10 on the weekends but I think it’s well worth it since the main tourist strip charges much more $10-40 for parking an this beach isn’t as crowded as the main. Camping with them has been fun, the spots are well sized an some even have hookups for electric an water if your in a RV, they also have cabins that are wonderful as well. What can I say I love this place"
