"My sister and I had a delightful tour with Vincent at the Williamsburg We Shall Overcome Black History Experience! Vincent is very knowledgeable and is passionate about making sure that we had the best time. We were very impressed with his presentation and he showed before and after photos of several of the historical slave sites, in-depth information about the former slave owners, slaves and their families. We recommend that all people should experience this tour. Especially African Americans that do not know the truth about our history in Williamsburg, Virginia. Vincent deserve kudos and we appreciate his patience and kindness. He also recommended The Cheese Shop and it was delicious. The sandwiches were fresh. I really recommend that more advertising efforts are made for the Black History Tour. The main thing that I got from this tour, was that even though Williamsburg’s history of blacks and slaves was ugly and hard to accept, it is what it was and it’s truth should be documented and shared in the school system and throughout the state of Virginia.
