"I lived in these apartments for 2 years, moved out early 2023. And I personally had no major issues with the complex or management. Karen (property manager) is very responsive via email for any concerns and maintenance responds within an appropriate time frame. I lived in a unit that was on the back side and loved it, so quiet. The critiques I have is that Tucker HS is backed up to the complex (traffic can be crazy), lighting at night is dull and I always hated the ducks/geese near the pond. But overall, not a bad apartment complex to live in!"
"Lived here for 3 plus years between 2010 - 2013. What attracted me was the greenery all round, the peaceful and quiet neighborhood and decently sized apartments at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there are a few issues as well - Firstly, as others have mentioned you need to go their central Richmond office to pay rent / drop your check. You could post it as well but you are responsible if it did not reach them in time. So a 10 mile round trip every month it was. Second, the front office. There was a gentleman named Eric when I moved in. He was great, friendly and very helpful. But then he left and the lady who came in wasn’t exactly similar natured. Third, the amenities. The gym was really postage stamp sized. If these three things did not matter to you, this was good. Plenty of parking, grounds and facilities were well maintained. The swimming pool was decent. Plus the rent was reasonable and location was great."
"some trees and bushes need trimming including new ones, rain gutters cleaned; suggestion to make new the dumpster surveillance signs. they need to be painted 9/14/2022the maintenance of the pool was excellent and improved the cleanliness of the garbage containers thanks"
"we moved to this apartment Tuckernuck Trail on august 31, 2022, when we moved and checked the apartment there was some damage and a notice from the manager 5 days after moving had to return the apartment condition and disclosure reports form then i notified the manger and reported it and after 3 days later maintenance guys came to check the condition of the apartment and asked me what needs to be fixed and I told them and they checked some damage in the apartment then they sent the report back to the manager office, and that day they only fixed 2 broken doors, and they told me will come back next week because they have to order the items they need to repair the apartment, and saturday on 09/10/2022 I went back to the manager's office to tell them that the maintenance guy hasn't come for a week, and the manager said she would call them because they were is in the neighborhood of this apartment and tell them to come to our apartment at that time, I waited for them but didn't come until Sunday 09/11/2022. Damage in our apartment that must be repaired or replaced is; - [ ] 1. AC and heater are not working properly. - [ ] 2. the refrigerator is not cold, can not store our food, the refrigerator door has many scratches, dents and is damaged. - [ ] 3. The patio blinds had to be replaced because they were damaged. - [ ] 4. The sink in the bathroom cabinet has a leak. 5. The table or wood in the kitchen has scratches and the wood in the bathroom too. - [ ] 6. The bedroom closet and shelf must be repaired. - [ ] 7. All kitchen storage areas should be repaired as well. - [ ] 8. the window in the bedroom is very difficult to open, it must also be repaired."
"The exterior of this apartment complex looks enticing with its many trees, large private patios, and year-round pool, but beware. Several red flags were raised to me when touring and considering this complex. First off, the front office staff- the front office staff is very unresponsive, never returning calls or voice messages, and when you do get ahold of her she speaks to you in a very unprofessional manner. You have to go in person multiple times to get anything done and the office hours are very irregular and different than what is posted online and on the physical door of the leasing office. Secondly, I was only allowed to tour a spruced up, fancily furnished, never-lived-in, model home apartment, which wasn’t even the floorplan I was interested in. I was told I would NOT be allowed to tour the exact unit I’d be living in before I signed the lease too which I find suspicious. Lastly, every review I have ever read about anything owned by this property manager, King Properties, has been absolutely horrendous, especially concerning rent payment. Neither Tuckernuck Trail nor River’s Bend Apartments in Chester, both local complexes owned by King Properties, have a working website or any way to pay rent online. There isn’t even an option to pay via dropping rent off at the leasing office. You have to literally go to their corporate office 20 mins away every month to pay rent…it’s the 21st century and this is the only management company I’ve come across in my months long apartment search that doesn’t offer this feature. Very strange. Aside: gym is so small it can only be accessed by one person at a time, pool is year round but not heated, and the mailbox situation was dicey when I poked around the property on my own after the tour. Mail was strewn in the bushes and several mailboxes were open with mail halfway inside them. GREAT walking trails and beautiful patches of forest to look out on and enjoy though! Birdsong and squirrels surround you here! It’s honestly a shame the management is so sketchy!! Otherwise I’d live here in a heartbeat!"
