Reviews of The Point at Ridgeline
"I’ve been living at The Point at Ridgeline since May 2023. I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed living here since day one. The property manager Shante, and all the staff are all so helpful and kind! Any questions or concerns, they are ALWAYS there to make sure they go above and beyond to be sure it’s resolved. I have no complaints at all living here & would recommend this building to anyone."
"My husband and I lived here for three years, and we enjoyed much of our time here. The apartments and spaces around the building are beautiful. The amenities are great: spacious, climate controlled storage units, reserved EV spots with free EV charging, garage parking, Hub package storage, salt-water pool, beautiful walking path, and so much more. We recently moved and miss much of the amenities we had from the Ridgeline. Shante, Eric, and Gustavo are great to work with and very profession and helped make our experience a positive one."
"Unfortunately we have dealt with a lot of issues since moving to this building. 1. They knowingly leased us a unit that was heavily saturated in curry. It was so bad we couldn’t hang out in our living space and I got horrible headaches from how strong it was. It took months to try to remove the smell with repeated painting. During this time we were displaced for days while the unit aired out (I was pregnant at the time and not allowed near this paint per my doctors). We either had to pay for hotels or stay with family hours away from here during this process. We stayed with family so I lost income because I wasn’t able to work (I’m a PRN employee so no paid leave for missed work) and we had to spend money on dog care. We were only comped our parking $125.00 a month for our experience which doesn’t come close to the money we lost those first few months. This doesn’t also include the furniture we will be trashing when we move because the smell is in the fabric. What infuriates us is that we were informed by management that they were aware the previous tenant “burned a lot of curry” and they received numerous complaints from neighbors about the stench. They know they should have removed the smell before leasing but they don’t care. They wanted a quick turn around. Imagine being pregnant, figuring out if you need to move again mid pregnancy, processing packing up all your things again and having so much uncertainty when you’re about to bring life into this world. And upper management didn’t have the decency to respond to my email when I expressed how upsetting this was for us. Why? Because of guilt? No most likely because again they don’t care about their residents. On a humorous note, first level management (she knows who she is) told us when we met with her we would receive a special compensation towards our next months rent for our inconveniences. It was $500.00. Her manager ended up telling me that wasn’t any kind of compensation, but rather we were owed that $500.00 as they should have waved our amenity’s fee when we first moved in, but didn’t. 2. This building looks nice but is made cheaply. Every time it rains our apartment floods from the door that leads to our balcony. They attempted to fix it once and it didn’t work. When we complained again about flooding I was told “well all these other units on your floor also had flooding what can we do? It’s the doors”. Then I’m notified my “service” was completed. What service….nothing was done and my living room continues to flood. It’s not just the doors in the unit though. One of the doors leading to the garage from the resident floors majorly floods with rain and that door was open for months, unable to close all the way. It’s a handicap accessible door so I assume some electrical malfunction. Fine the door is open to the elements, it will flood, non residents can waltz in and oh yes potentially a rabid fox. The reason why non residents and rabid foxes can get in is because the garage gate has been broken for 6 MONTHS. They told us this fox probably left as animal control couldn’t find it….I found it days after that notification under a car near the door that oh yea…doesn’t close….I called the front desk to inform them and was surprised they did not email a warning to the residents that this fox was still present in the garage. But they don’t care about their residents so maybe not surprising. Edit. A actual joke. Robots are responding to your reviews. Shante you’re going to act like you don’t know who I am and what my post was about? Shante you were the one who lied to me and my husband about our “compensation”. Covering it up. As it was a mistake on your part for not waiving our amenity fee. You lied to us about the whole cleaning process of our unit. Were you or were you not aware of the smell before we moved in. Every conversation with you, you contradicted yourself. We were lied to repeatedly by you. What a wonderful way to treat a pregnant woman and her family. No we do not need to speak further. You’re highly aware of what transpired."
"Honestly, I can understand people's frustrations with their reviews given that the quality of people's choice of residency is a TOP priority; however, allow me to share my own personal experience before you decide to let reviews convince you otherwise. Firstly, the condition/quality of the apartment building is consistently maintained. The (small but mighty) team at this building works tirelessly to ensure everything is functioning properly. People need to remember that there's less than 10 people on staff trying to service 100+ residents. Each of my service requests were fulfilled ON TIME (less than 24 hours turnaround) and properly. I never had an issue with maintenance telling me that "it just is what it is" so I'm unsure of how other people are having this type of interaction. Milton and Gustavo (2 maintenance employees I am close with) have always been attentive to my needs as a resident and are always available to work on any problem. Does the building have functional issues that take a bit of time to resolve? Yes. The garage gate and side doors malfunctioning do raise a security risk but the staff is always aware of those problems and usually get it fixed ASAP (now gates and doors are fixed). Yes, you can hear your neighbors if they scream and stomp but what do you expect when you live in an apartment? It's not the type of noise that keeps me up at night since it's pretty muffled. Shante, Asia, Derrick and Megan are the kindest people I have ever met at a leasing office. Their efforts in ensuring a safe, polished and well maintained community hardly goes unnoticed as these people balance requests, problems and everything else that comes through the door. I have been at other luxury apartments but nothing will ever beat the resiliency, vibrancy and welcoming arms of the Point at Ridgeline."
"We have had a wonderful experience living at The Point at Ridgeline. We moved in 7 months ago and have watched the place go from almost empty to almost fully occupied! The management and staff are top-notch! They are always friendly and very responsive. When issues arise, they take care of them and communicate well in a timely manner. They truly go above and beyond to make sure each resident is happy and cared for. When we have had several personal maintenance issues come up, the maintenance staff has shown up within an hour of filing a request...talk about fast and friendly service! Not to mention, we absolutely love our unit, from the extra high ceilings, to a walk up patio, to a beautiful kitchen color-scheme, to high-end appliances and plantation blinds, we are so happy with the beautiful finishes and touches of this place. We actually have enjoyed our experience here so much that when two sets of family members were moving to the area, they also decided to make The Point at Ridgeline “home.” It’s been a treat to have our family in three different units in this community, especially during a time like the COVID-19 pandemic. While the inside amenities are awesome and beautiful, we have thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor amenities. From the outdoor social garden to the surrounding paths and pond, it’s a wonderful oasis in the midst of a busy life in the metro DC area. We are so thankful to call this place home!"
