Reviews
"Outstanding experience! Incredible views of the Virginia foothills. The staff and docents were most kind of hospitable. Can’t wait to return."
"Great place to visit before and after doing the property tour! Lots of great choices of souvenirs! I highly recommend it!"
"Montpelier is breathtakingly beautiful! The grounds there are picture perfect. The prettiest times of the year I recommend you going is in April when the red buds are blooming or in October when the fall foliage is at peak! You can choose to do both hiking around on the grounds and a tour of the mansion (self-guided), or do one or the other. The visitor center, museum, and gift shop are a must see! You will not regret your visit here!"
"We loved or trip to Montpelier! The Madison's we're an interesting couple and the tour of their house was outstanding at covering their mixed legacy of genius and the cruelty of "owning" other fellow humans. The tour guide was an excellent and knowledgeable storyteller and this visit was more educational than our earlier visit to Monticello (which we also loved). If you're in central Virginia don't miss this!"
"Absolutely beautiful. Very interesting, they are constantly renovating. One thing that we didn't see last visit was in the dining room, it's the original dining table and just 2 months they were able to sweetie the original dinner china. What an amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Found out that Thomas Jefferson helped in the designing the architecture of the renovated home after Madison's father."
