2123 Rivermont

"This was the second time I stayed at 2123 Rivermont, but in a different unit! Both were for mom's slumber parties as we rounded a new decade. In both cases the spaces have been very clean, tidy, and stocked! I am so impressed with the inviting and eclectic design in each space. One of the other perks that I appreciate is that there is off street parking behind the building! The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Lynchburg or the surrounding areas!!"

"I stayed at 2123 Rivermont on a recommendation from daughter who visited last summer. She raved about the property and hosts, so it seemed like a perfect stop as my husband and I headed southbound. We stayed for a few days in a beautiful unit on the first floor of the main building (I think it was #101 if my memory serves). The unit was immaculate with a large sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, and big comfortable bed/bedroom. Though we didn’t use it, there was also a lovely room suitable for additional travellers or children (two beds, dresser, t.v., etc.). We did make a point of visiting downtown Lynchburg (including Black Water Creek Trail – beautiful and accessible for varying ages, fitness levels, etc.), but I could have spent the entire visit on the Rivermont property, exploring the décor inside and the landscaping outside. A peculiar, yet thoughtfully curated collection of photos, artwork, and items piqued my interest, and I was delighted to see the personal touches added by the hosts (see photo of the General with thought bubble attached lol). The bed was big and the mattress quite comfortable, though I could have had an easy sleep on the wide selection of lovely throw pillows alone! My husband and I enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the Muskoka chairs centred on the property, and loved our walk through the beautifully landscaped (and painted) path that ran along the detached unit in the back (sign outside said Carriage House?). We enjoyed the selection of Keurig coffees in the unit, but also treated ourselves with a trip to the Flour District, a lovely café and artisanal bakery located no more than a couple of hundred metres behind the property, which had a painted signpost to help us orientate ourselves. Having just returned from our vacation not too long ago, I have to say that Lynchburg was an unexpected highlight and I look forward to staying again (hopefully for a bit longer!). "We are going to make this our go-to place to stay when we visit Lynchburg. Brett and Bonnie have made this beautiful historic home so comfortable and charming. Their style of design makes each room its own special treat. We loved the backyard, especially the bird watching by the pond. The location is also great with so many restaurants close enough to walk."

"We spent 4 days at 2123 Rivermont in November 2022. We were overwhelmed with the size of the AirBnB unit we had. It was very well-furnished with every amenity we needed. The furniture and decorating is very tastefully done and it has a homey and welcoming feel to it. The outside has a beautiful patio area with a fire pit, which was perfect to sit around for conversation, reading or star-gazing. From recent photos we understand that a pond and fountain have been added to enhance the outdoor ambiance. It is only a short drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains and there were plenty of dining suggestions if/when we chose to eat out. Additionally, we had all the kitchen ware and appliances necessary to prepare any meals we prepared for ourselves. We look forward to our next visit to the area and will definitely book another stay at 2123 Rivermont."

"I had the pleasure of spending three months renting the ground level apartment over the winter. I walked to Riverside Park almost every day (20 min loop), enjoyed croissants from the local bakery down the street, and worked from home daily in total peace and quiet. Not only was the place furnished beautifully, but the access to plentiful parking, walks on the avenue, and the proximity to downtown as well as Boonsboro makes this one of my new favorite hometown spots. Many thanks to Bonnie and Brett for being exceptional hosts with a gift for creating beautiful, welcoming, and peaceful spaces."
