"This is one of the cheapest places in Charlottesville for a reason. Don't sacrifice your safety, stress levels, or time trying to save a couple hundred dollars a month here. Within the last two years I have stayed here, the rent has risen over $200 per month, there has been a shooting, and someone kicked in my neighbor's window and stole many of their belongings. Additionally, the front office can be non-existent and provide little to no help when you have questions or notice an issue with your bill. I honestly think they do not care about their residents and do the bare minimum. Oh, and I almost forgot! If you enjoy putting flowers or having little potted plants on your doorstep, they will charge a $50 fine per month for having those. It just goes to show their priorities. If you have the ability, do yourself and your family a favor - stay away."
"Leasing office sucks!!! I always try to be nice with them but they don’t help. Rude attitude. They don’t care. Abbington management was 100 times better. This change wasn’t for a good reason. No one answer the phone, applications lasts more than one month. Maintenance works good, the apartments are roomy. That’s the reason I’m still here but if they don’t accept my transfer I think that’s gonna be my last period here. Still waiting…"
"The worst experience in my entire life, the worst customer service, the worst communication and the dirtiest place to live. I'll explain why below. 1- Your appliances break down all the time and take too much time to “fix” them if in quotes why. If they are fixed and damaged with the same problem again, they should actually be replaced. 2 - The day I signed my contract was the day they finally let me see my apartment because it wasn't ready before, said the woman who helped me sign my contract. M, it should be noted that because I moved on the 28th of the month I had to pay that day and when we got inside obviously the things they fixed on the wall didn't dry properly and peeled and fell into pieces. 3 - The office staff changes their minds all the time because it depends on who you talk to since there is always someone different and they never follow through on what they say. For example, I wanted to transfer my lease, I went many times but the entire staff was sick, there is a young man who knew absolutely nothing. Then I found someone, I went on a Monday to find out more and first a new Caucasian girl told me that it was possible and that I wouldn't have to pay a deposit and I wasn't sure if I would have to pay the application money again, which is $400. I came back the next day it was closed in the shorts that should have been open there was a clock on the glass. I returned the next day, Wednesday, Tania told me that maybe I should pay the deposit again and that the transfer had to be approved by management that if something had to be repaired, the price for it would be paid or they would send it in a Bill to my new address that same day, we scheduled it. For the next day, Thursday, an inspection of the house at 11, no one showed up nor did they call me to be aware of my time or absolutely nothing. I had to call them at 1pm when I was going to work so they could do the inspection. I returned the next day, Friday, I asked for 4 hours of work to wait for the office to open since I had come other days but it was closed because I was on break or meeting and they NEVER answered the phone. That day the manager's manager was there, she came from Greystar and told her what had happened. She told me that the next day, first thing in the morning, at 10 AM, the available apartments and a response would come in my email as to whether or not they approved the transfer according to the inspection. That day no one contacted me, I called numerous times no one answered and if I left voice messages I called again they answered me one of a thousand times and they told me that we have to do another inspection again. okay, it passed the inspection, I am here Wednesday the 31st with the surprise that my house does not pass inspection because things need to be fixed in the kitchen and that I never put an order to fix it when I DID IT FROM DAY ONE THROUGH THE RESIDENT PORTAL. They marked them as complete when they never solved ANYTHING. and when Tania had said that if something was wrong it would be fixed and if there was a cost they would send me the cost. Ashley told me this and it is simply the worst experience, the worst headache, I do not recommend it to anyone. I also called to complain that there were used condoms in my room and that they had spray paint with which I had clearly painted the closets because no one spoke out about it. I have referred 10 people to this place and they never comply, they always blame the change in management for extra charges of which they then charge 10% if it is not paid on time when the charges should never be there in the first place. And not only this but I have also been to the offices to talk about this charges, they say they are going to remove them and I had to go 3 times to get them to remove it.you can tell WASTE OF SO VALUABLE TIME"
"DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX !!! And I will tell you why 1. The will have eviction letters on your door threatening to kick you out/ take you to court if even if you already paid for that month 2. They are unorganized and will lose your paper work !!! My bf sent in his paperwork saying he moving out on a certain day. Somehow one of the workers “lost it” and now they are billing us 9k because we didn’t pay rent even though we said and turned in he paper work stating we are. (Update) And yes he already called to discuss the large amount he has to pay back ! Y’all told him that he has to pay back the money because y’all lost his paper work and have no record of it. Because of your staff members mistake we have to pay! 3. The rent does not make sense because for close to 2k we were paying for something that needed to be way under !!!! 4. Something was always wrong with the weight room !!! 5. There was mold in the apartment that they wouldn’t fix ! And the side wall was caving in !! Of course didn’t fix that ! 6. Washer machine broke (not mad about that things happen) but I was mad that they pulled the carpet up to dry the water but didn’t fix the carpet back ! Yes we put in multiple work orders for it . I hope you read this review and reconsider this place! Please live anywhere else but here !!!! My bf not going to write a review but I will on his behalf ! Every time I came over something was always wrong !!!"
"Stayed here for 4 months and loved the experience. The apartment unit was very spacious and had lots of natural light. My move-in and move-out experience was smooth, and if any maintenance issue arose, it was attended to immediately thanks to the maintenance staff. A big shout out to Jennifer, Tanea, Heather, and Patrice from property management for being extremely friendly and professional ... Thank you!"
