"My home buying journey started 2 years ago with a colleague's referral to contact Andy for real estate help in the Rockville area. From our very first 30-min conversation, I knew Andy was going to be the right real estate advisor for me. I am a single mom of a 7yo. My desire to finally buy was motivated by my need to provide my daughter with a home to call our own, especially after having moved 4 times since she was born. When I first contacted Andy, it was actually 2 years ahead of my readiness to buy because I was already locked into a lease but wanted to get started on my search early. Fast forward to May 2023 and after several more educational conversations with Andy, it was finally time. Spring listings were showing some promising condos in exactly the community I was looking for and there it was on the MLS Andy set up for me. I immediately texted Andy about it, and quickly got a response from him on how soon I would be able to see it, which was the next day (4 days prior to the official open house). After I saw the condo and knew I wanted it, the next step was figuring out how to win it. Under Andy's invaluable guidance and coaching on how to ensure my offer stood out, was strong, and could beat out my competition, he submitted it for me quickly and within a day after the open house I received a call from him congratulating me on securing a new home for myself and my daughter. It was a call I'll never forget. I know many already know this, but the home buying process is not for the wishy washy. And even though I consider myself a fairly intelligent, well organized, and a person who is clear about what I want, admittedly even I was stumped and at times overwhelmed by the negotiation process. When it came time to bid, I cannot express enough how extremely grateful I felt to have Andy representing me and looking out for my best interest. And even after winning the bid, there were a ton of resources to get into place as part of the closing like finalizing the mortgage, securing a title company, home insurance, and getting a home inspection done.
