Reviews of Great American Buffet
"The server could not have been nicer and she was extremely attentive to our needs. The salad items were fresh, the fried chicken was a real stand out all the hot vegetables i sampled were very good. The most unbelievable part was when the Bill came! I had no idea what the prices were, it but I was told by the server that was getting the senior (over 55) discount. Except for indulging in one piece of fried chicken, I had an extremely healthy and wholesome meal for less than I would’ve spent going through the drive-through at a hamburger joint. I would highly recommend this restaurant"
"My husband and I thought about eating here about a month ago while out running errands one night. I checked Google reviews because I’m always apprehensive when going to a buffet as they tend to be hit-or-miss. We read a review that likened this buffet to a food trough and thought better of it. We were clearly smarter a month ago. Tonight my husband decided it might be worth the risk to try it out as a quick place for dinner with the kids. It was not. Everything looked and tasted as though the staff were all in the middle of quiet quitting and while our server was nice, I’m relatively certain he was under the assistance of a specific herbal “supplement.” I can’t blame him though. I’m sure he knows what kind of “food” is being served for nearly $20 a head. I don’t understand the plethora of positive reviews about this place. Nothing here was remotely seasoned, let alone palatable, so how is it that so many rated it so highly? I’m also pretty sure that in the next few minutes there will be a full fire sale within me as everything decides to vacate simultaneously which could quite possibly irrevocably change how my husband looks at me because if nothing pleasant goes in than nothing pleasant can come out. And it’s all about to come out. Save your money and protect your dignity. Don’t eat here."
"For this price? It is Old school- American buffet. Do you know old country buffet ? This place reminds me the old country buffet. I used to love that place. We do not see one of those humble American buffets in these days. Senior and children get high discount. Such a nostalgic place. Delicious fried chicken! Chicken liver is good. Great salad bar! Such a delicious grilled chicken breast as well."
"For us this place is now classified as the trough. If you want to just put your head in and devour unlimited amounts of nasty, this is the spot. My wife and I haven't been in here for many years and after looking at the recent reviews we gave it a try. Over 55 discount prior to 4 PM. A lot of the hot foods were cold even though they were on the steamer line. How do you do that? The fish was extra salty. Cold slaw was inedible and tasted like it was spoiled. The small roma tomatoes were very red but hard as a marble. The fried chicken thigh I got was not cooked completely and showed actual blood vessels near the bone. It's easier to list the apple pie, baked beans, and sweet potato mush as the items that were good. Scratch this one off. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of the check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees but no one cares about the waiter/waitress names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food. **If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points Process: Select - Report review. Select- Not helpful at the bottom of drop down Review doesn’t help people decide whether to go to this place."
"I came in around 5pm and was seated pretty quickly. Our server came over and took our drink orders in a decent amount of time also. Now the the reason this is a 3 star is because the food wasn't amazing but it also wasn't terrible either. Find what you like and eat that. And the pricing isn't terrible either. 15.99 for an adult and .75 cents times age of rhe child."
