"Attitude! The lady Sherri at front desk! The receptionist For 10 years, she is rude, short, flat out difficult. Always leading with a problem, an attitude. She never says goodbye, just hangs up at end of conversation. NEVER ASKS ABOUT THE KID WHO HAS BEEN COMING THERE FOR A DECADE. She hates her job and the make every mother feel like we are bothering her when we've been up all night with a sick kid. I'm leaving the practice. I'm done with a rude lady while dealing with children. Horrible!"

"I absolutely would recommend this office. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. My child sees Jen, she takes the time to answer every question I have ( & I have a ton being a new mom). One of their doctors is always available via phone, even if the office is closed. I have called two times after hours and left a voicemail. I received a call back within 8 minutes each time. Doctor Young answered all my questions and put my worry at ease. My son is a newborn, and having the ability to talk to a doctor right away without having to go to the ER was invaluable, urgent care was closed. My son had a very mild issue and Jen saw my son during her lunch break because I was worried. Words cannot express how thankful I was and how thankful I am for this facility! My son and I have never waited when we had an appointment. We check in with the friendly receptionist and go to the back right away for my son to be seen."

"I'm a first time mom so we have been to see Dr. Young A LOT. Him and his staff have never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed for coming in. One time we came in 4 times in one week. Dr. Young was even going to come in on his day off, penciled us in during his lunch break, and took us in as his last patient when he already should have left. I couldn't be happier that we chose Kempsville Pediatrics as our pediatrician. The highlights- We have been able to get in the day of every time we call. Never had to wait even a day Dr. Young is knowledgeable and doesn't just tell you the facts that you could just Google and find. He relates it back to you and explains it in a way that makes sense in the real world. He doesn't force anything on you if you don't want to do it. And doesn't think less of you if you don't"

"Doctors and staff are friendly and capable, but the appointment availability is horrendous. Three of the last four appointments of mine have been canceled without my knowledge. Throughout the course of my two kids' lifetimes here, my number was the primary number. I received appointment confirmations and any rescheduling requests. Out of the blue, they began calling my husband's number to cancel or reschedule standard well baby appointments and, after getting no response, apparently never thought to call the number they'd been working successfully with for over a year and a half. In good faith, I reiterated that they should only call my phone number after the last scheduling mishap. However, they still called the wrong number when attempting to reschedule the most recent appointment. Forget getting in if your kids are sick. The doctor does not take in sick children (then why are they a doctor?!). They do not have any day-of availability EVER and constantly recommend you visit urgent care if your kids are sick. This is NOT easy with an infant or young toddler. Absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself a lot of headaches and scheduling conflicts - find another doctor's office."
