"We reserved a same day site on Campspot, paid $43.53, Arrived in our Class A rigjust before dark. No one there... okay. Went to park. No water at any site except for the one spigot flooding one site. No idea if electric was on. Tried to call the phone #provided. No answer. We left. Our first Campspot disappointment. If you're not open, don't take people's time or money."
"It's a little quirky but it has everything you need. The pool was closed for the season when we camped but the bathrooms and showers were open. There are no sewer hook ups but there is a very easy dump station. There's a trail to a lovely creek, which our dogs really enjoyed. There's no campground office. We reserved online at 5:30pm after trying unsuccessfully to make same-night reservations at a few other campgrounds. It's a Christian ministry but that seems to be separate from the camping. Just a few miles off 81, no grocery store in town but a Dollar General is on the right about 1/2 mile before the campground. Perfect for an overnight stay - or two if the pool was open!"
"It looks like a terrifying scene from a movie at first. It was 90 degrees the day we arrived and no shade in sight. There's beautiful trees around the perimeter of the area. Let's face it, it's a ballfield turned RV park. When I saw the sign that said "ministry"well I was wondering if we were going to have to sit through some service before we could park. But everything was online, no one disturbed us or checked us in. There's not a lot of directions out there. There are signs but a lot of signs say private, so if you are just pulling in you kind of wonder where to go and where the toilet is. Things aren't marked for understanding from across the way. There's a swimming pool for $8, and I ate a hamburger at the snack shack, which was a lot better than eating at Tammy's place. But then again it was really hot and miserable. This place has lots of potential. The lady there was very nice. If you're using the pool, the showers are fine but if you're camping and don't plan on showering in your swimsuit, then there's little privacy issue. Just a cinder block building with two showerheads on one wall. It brought back memories of middle school gym class. I think this place would be great for a summer camp, and it wasn't bad for spending the night passing through."
"Was in town for a conference so we didn't get a chance to talk to the camp host but the campground was lovely. River access was easy, it had a ton of poison ivy so beware, the water was calm and shallow, rocky, kids still had a lot of fun. Don't know about the pool. There was a nice playground just down in Buchanan. Hopefully, we'll get to enjoy more next time. The dump station was clean and well maintained. Located between sites 11 and site D. Parking on the grass also seems to be ok. Hookups were also well maintained. Looking forward to the next visit!"
"Good location off of Hwy 81, has electric & water with dump station. Very clean, with a pool. Drone shots, not many campers there the first night we arrived."
