"Dr Koduru is a great doctor, he listens to what you have to say and responds with great knowledge. He helped me with my medications and makes any changes needed to fit my needs. I think that he is a very competent doctor and I love going to see him."
"Dr Koduru has been my psychiatrist since 2014. He has always been friendly and seemed very competent. In December 2015 my 16 year old son died just days before Christmas. Dr Koduru saved me. He was so compassionate and caring and seemed genuinely concerned for my well being. He went above and beyond what I feel most psychiatrists would have to show me compassion and let me know he actually cared about me as a person and a patient. Just months later I lost my father and then a few months later my mother. Without Dr Koduru really taking time to ipunderstand everything that was going on with me, I don’t know what I would have done. There is sometimes a very long wait, but that is only sometimes. He never makes me feel rushed during my visit. So I’m sure when I have to wait a long time it is likely because he gave someone else extra time that they need that day. His new building is very nice. I do recommend not making an appointment for yourself as an adult on kid day(I think it’s tuesday or Tuesday and Thursday, you can just ask them) if you don’t want to listen to 12 kids screaming and being loud. I love kids, but if I have to wait 45-60 minutes like on a very busy day, I don’t want to spend and hour listening to kids yell and fight and all that. His office staff is not always the friendliest, and I believe sometimes they aren’t great about asking him something and calling you back or asking him about something from the pharmacy or whatever. But if Dr Koduru knows what it is you need, he will fill it out or whatever you need without a problem. It’s just the staff that sometimes forgets or loses things. Also there is some policy about paying $100 if you reschedule 3 appointments? I understand you can’t miss or reschedule all the time, but a staff member tried to get me with that for rescheduling 3 times, when twice I had rescheduled way in advance...and I told them I have been a patient there for years, so eventually I am going to have rescheduled 3 times....it may only be once a year, but eventually it will be three. They did not make me pay for it so I guess they were ok with that. Also you can usually get an appointment within just a day or two."
"The female receptionist seem impatient. I asked Venus for my options due to me having a hard time getting to there office. It wasn't what was said but her tone. She told me to go somewhere else. On top of that my psychiatrist is nice guy but he didn't have a voicemail. I wasn't able to leave any messages for when I had a crisis over the weekend. I only recommend as a last result only because I know the importance of having to cope without proper medical care."
"Dr. Koduru is a very helpful and wise man to work with. He gives me the medication I need and if not then we both discuss some other possibilities or alternatives. I give the location 3 STARS because it does take a while for your name to be called. I've waited an hour and a half sometimes just to be called, but this is because Koduru takes the time and care to listen to his patients and will take as long as needed to help them. The staff is nice and helpful. Overall, I award 5 STARS to DOCTOR BANERJE, KODURU and 3 STARS towards the waiting time, averaging my whole experience to about 4 STARS. P.S. It all depends on the person on whether or not the patient is satisfied and wants to continue seeing Koduru. My advice would be to just give him a try, especially if you live in the Hopewell area and are in need of a Psychiatrist."
"Dr. Koduru was one of the worst doctors we've ever seen. My son has been struggling with bipolar disorder for a few years. As hard as it was for him to, my son wrote a letter expressing how he felt and Koduru didn't even take 2 seconds to read it. All he's done is shove pills at him. You would think someone in his profession would care about his patients. I have never been so disappointed and discussed in my life. If you are looking for help, I would DEFINITELY look elsewhere. I would NEVER recommend him to ANYONE."
