Tricare Prime Clinic Suffolk

"I recently retired and am seeing a combination of DOD and VA Community Care providers. My Community Care provider was under the impression that prescriptions could only be sent to the VA, retail pharmacies, and Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth. However, as the helpful staff at TPC Suffolk pointed out, using the Q-Anywhere system, I can select the Tricare pharmacy of my choice, when I have my prescriptions sent to NMCP."

"If you want no appointment availability, rude customer service and security guard (seriously, screw this guy), and no walk-in immunizations this is your place. 40 minute wait in exam rooms was also a fantastic experience. The military wonders why there is a retention problem... This place is the worst."

"The WORST medical facility. The providers don’t care about their patients, the only thing they are focused on is meeting the 15 minute or less mandated appointment blocks. I promise you’ll see your provider constantly checking the clock as to not run over. During a physical I was told if I wanted to address more than one issue there would be no time for an examination…for an ANNUAL PHYSICAL. Certain departments still be closed for days at a time because they don’t have the personnel to man, for example, Radiology. I feel like I have to fight for just adequate medical care. I could tell you horror story after horror story about how this place operates and the treatment of the patients Stay Away from this Tricare Prime clinic, if you are assigned here call immediately and have your doctor changed to one at a different location."

"About 3 years ago I would have given them 5 stars. As of 2023 this place is mostly trash. The pharmacy staff in particular are disgusting. They act like they don't want to be there (get another job if you can't do a simple job without being nasty to the patients). Their phone lines are terrible. They barely pick up the phone and some of the options send you to the wrong department (for example as of right now instead of option 5 connecting you to the lab the department like it's supposed to, it sends you straight to the horrible pharmacy workers who don't even attempt to help anyone and sends them directly back to the same broken automated message menu. Funny how this country claims to be all about our troops but can't even treat the troops and their families with deceny in a health clinic made for them. It is truly disgusting."

"This review is only for the pharmacy. The staff is extremely slow. I chose this pharmacy because I thought it would be faster than the NMCP main pharmacy, but I don't think things there could be any worse. For military, I recommend you show up in uniform if you want to have valuable time saved."
