"Casselton Consultants provided me out patient cognitive behavior and abstinence therapy . They provided me the tools to identify situations that can trigger alcohol use and effectively challenge them so that I currently live a happy sober life. Successful completion of this program also holds a heavy weight in court decisions resulting in reduced sentencing."
"I am not sure about the negative post but this program saved my life. If you want to apply yourself, help yourself and change your life give this program a shot. Thank you Casselton"
"These people dont care if you have money or not. They said you lost your money at asap now you owe us. They think a friend of mine has a drinking problem they havent had a drink in almost 17 yrs. Sow now you owe us 35 x 12. Cause he needs intense therapy. He asked them if he could do the 1 x visit on Saturday they told him no that he has a drinking problem. Then they told him well you have a driving on suspended. They didnt even ask what he was driving. He was driving a scooter that wouldnt go over 25. He was on his way to work if he didnt drive that he would have been homeless. So they dont care. He gets only 700 a month now he is gonna lose his place to live cause he has to pay these people. they to him well I'm sorry. Yea I know how sorry they are. .. who knows what answers they put on your paper when they do there little test. He lost his 400.00 si he gotta pay another 400"
"These people do not care at all about the well being or progress of their clients. They are all about dollar signs. With a worldwide health pandemic and unemployment higher than ever before you Would think that people in the “counseling” field would have compassion and understanding....don’t expect that here. If you are struggling and need real help go somewhere that really wants to help you meet your goals and do better."
"I definitely wouldn’t recommend this consultant group. I sat in on the evaluation with my brother to ensure that the therapist did a competent job. We didn’t let the therapist know that I, myself, was a practicing therapist for 17 years with a PhD in mental health counseling. 1) the therapist didn’t introduce or provide credentials, definitely not a good start 2) didn’t go over the limits of confidentiality, which is one of the most important parts Of beginning an evaluation, definitely a bad sign 3)stereotypes were used as part of the evaluation 4) instead of focusing on the present, information when he was in college was used and said “it’s just a guesstimate” Granted, a proper biopsychosocial evaluation does look at history, however, you don’t “guesstimate” from college to adulthood.” I kept saying, “this isn’t criteria” and the person would spin it to make it fit criteria. overall test scores weren’t factored, but specific questions were referenced and when I asked, the therapist couldn’t answer, just that it “shows this.” 5) the therapist gave him a questionnaire that tested cravings and tolerance and he answered “no” to all of them. However, the therapist decided that “falling asleep at the wheel is a “blackout.” I knew this person was going to take advantage of my brother and recommend something he did not need 6) I asked for his diagnosis and was told “I can’t give a diagnosis.”; I asked for all documentation, including notes. The response was “these are my notes.” I asked for test results, which wasn’t given or discussed, and copies and was told said “these tests cost a lot of money and belong to Casselton.” Please note, you are entitled to all documentation that involves your case, even if you have to pay for it. A diagnosis should have been given and test results discussed at the end of session. None of this happened. And yes, my brother did sign a “release of confidential information” so his case could be discussed with me. So, everything before and after the evaluation I could have. I discussed this person’s biopsychosocial assessment with another therapist who had 13 years in the field and she agreed that this person was going to recommend something he didn’t need. The problem with private practice tied to a specific program, they’ll recommend things you don’t need to make money for both the practice and program. And, to be honest, because I asked questions, I think he’ll definitely be thrown under the bus."
