"They are the best, & it is included in your tuition as a full time student, so you mine as well use them. Over the years I’ve worked with Kathleen, Sally, & Dr. Nelson. All of them have been very helpful, & caring. They have been much more attentive & more enjoyable to visit than my PCP. Additionally, I have never been charged extra for blood work or any other tests I’ve had done here. I can’t recommend them highly enough, and you can even make same day appointments with them."
"Wow. The manager at this facility is downright rude. All the people I spoke with here were fine with the exception of her. I’ve now wasted two weeks trying to obtain records from here from when I was a student, and just now her saying it’s not possible. Shame on her for not taking responsibility."
"If you are a student at VCU that lives on campus do not go here! I had a call appointment hoping to get medication for chest congestion. The doctor from VCU student health proceeded to tell me that I would need to be put in isolation housing due to the possibility covid (I don’t have covid symptoms) Considering I have exams next week and need to be in class, they still moved me into a separate building and threatened to cancel my housing contract (w/o refund) if I didn’t. The doctor never saw me in person and never prescribed me any medication. So now I am in isolation housing for 5 days and I am going to miss my study sessions for my exams, and I just wanted some meds."
"Just FYI, if it's your first Saturday appointment... Walk around to the "west entrance". Other than that miscommunication, this place is amazing. The staff are wonderful and I've made so much progress with their help."
"I have received outstanding psychiatric health services at VCU Student Health. Never in my life have I met a doctor as empathetic or understanding as Dr. Foreman. The check in process is easy after the first visit and I am nearly always seen on time. I once realized the morning of an appointment that I would not be able to make it and I was able to reschedule for the next day with no problems. Because mental health is reliant on so many factors, I was recommended to run some blood tests and see a nutritionist, all which could be done onsite. Working with my doctor, I absolutely feel like I have been given ample resources and direction to continue to care for both my mental and physical health. Visiting VCU Student Health has been a crucial first step to overall wellness and academic success."
