"I waited 10 months for my appointment, the whole time I was told over the phone and online I was seeing a psychiatrist. The day of my appointment the "psychiatrist" insisted he was only a psychologist several times. I have no idea what that means or what the difference is, but all the paperwork is wrong because of it. I wasn't able to get any help with what I was diagnosed with either. It seems to be just a wild goose chase with no means to an end. I wouldn't recommend going here."
"I would give zero stars if possible. This facility does not care about it's patients. Do NOT TRY TMS therapy here. They are not aware of the side effects and make no effort to understand side effects. They do not follow up with patients. I believe their efficacy rates are unfounded. They have FAILED my family. I'd advise strongly against this treatment and this location"
"I’ve had a great experience with my psychiatrist, but the nurses are so horrible at this place. They’ve withheld medications, sent them to the wrong place, lied about their actions, prevented me from requesting refills or contacting my doctor, lied about rules/regulations, and been unpleasant about the most basic tasks. I was prescribed medication a week ago and they still haven’t even sent it to the pharmacy. Years ago I told everyone to seek care at VCU, but now I’m avoiding it at all costs."
"I had called about a week after my last appointment, 6 weeks ago, to change my psychiatrist. I was told that they had to get permission from my psychiatrist and review my chart, but would get back with me. A week after that I was told I would get a call from Dr. Srilonki who is the clinical coordinator. This never happened. I called again the last week in July to follow up, and received a call the very next day from scheduling that Dr. Srilonki was looking into it, they had gotten permission from Dr. Shah to switch providers, and Dr. Srilonki would call me. I followed up again on 08/12 with no contact from the clinical coordinator, and had asked them to cancel my appointment with Dr. Shah on 08/21 as per my numerous requests to switch providers. Which to quote Dr. Shah at the very beginning of her services at the very first appointment, "If ever you do not feel like this is a good provider fit for you, please don't feel like you're unable to switch providers. We want you to be comfortable." I called today and spoke with Trisha to see if there was any word yet on my provider switch. Trisha told me that they do not allow you to see a different provider, but instead will refer you out of the practice. WHAT. I asked again for a return call from the clinical coordinator, Dr. Srilonki on this, and also discovered that my call on 08/12 was meaningless as they did not cancel my appointment today with Dr. Shah as previously asked."
"So, my therapist digs up some repressed emotions, exposes my social aversions, then LEAVES for her fellowship. Then, her replacement reschedules our first appointment to the same day next week, but a different time. Scheduling and organization is one of the reasons I sought out help. I showed up 15 minutes late, 5 later than their cutoff point, and I'm told that I'm KICKED OUT of all service. For 6 months. Gosh, I feel so much better without you, doctor!"
