"I waited over a week to be contacted as a new patient after i filled out the online new patient appointmentrequest. I finally called and someone actually got a person. She looked up my information, told me the intake coordinator gets 200 requests a week then told me they only had one person taking new patients for Therapy but it was telehealth. I said I really wanted.to see someone in oerson and she simply said ok and hung up on me. What type of mental Healthcare office is this? I cannot believe that someone in this field is so callous as to simply hang up. Obviously if I was seeking Therapy I have an issue. How does this insensitive woman know her action did not send me over the edge? I am still in a state of disbelief. Shame on Dominion Behavioral Health."
"WOW.... very unfortunate situation with just simply trying to book an appt. I was originally referred by the Veterans Affairs Community Choice Network. They work hand and hand with the veteran and can book appointments for you or also work with you to book appointments yourself. I tried both ways. I worked with Orlando from the VA CCN organization, he let me know he put three calls in over the course of two weeks. I also reached out to make an appointment two weeks ago. The number for intake routes to a voicemail, says to give them 72 hours for a response. Also I filled out the intake paperwork and got a text from a "Lexi" that assured me my paperwork was good, even though the website glitched. I then waited for days. I finally texted again to find out an update. Lexi replied via text to say she was at a Dr appt with her daughter and they would follow up Monday. ...ok I wished her a good weekend. The following week.. again.. crickets... I let Orlando know what was happening and that we would try one more time. This week has now passed and again nothing...after three more texts and two more voicemails. Again all spaced within 72 hrs.... I am sure they might have good therapists here.. but trying to get in and get established is laughable and should not be this hard. I am moving on and will seek help elsewhere. The intake process here needs to be thoroughly examined as you are losing patients. This is stressful to people that are already in stress and need assistance. To be met with this type of unprofessionalism, apathy or just plain incompetence is really sad."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Ashvin Patel‘s for almost 6 years. Instead of increasing my anti anxiety drug when I was experiencing higher than normal anxiety in my life, he gave me the name of a therapist to see in the practice. I reached out 3-4 times to get onto her schedule but after leaving several messages with reception and intake departments, no one would call me back. I even reached out to Dr. Patel for help with getting on her schedule. He just told me to keep calling. Completely stranded an established patient when she was in crisis. This practice has gone downhill and Dr. Patel is a joke. They even tried submitting falsified insurance claims on me until I caught onto them and my insurance got their money back. STAY AWAY FROM DOMINION BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE!"
"A great practice! Very nice and professional staff. I absolutely love Lowell Thomas! He’s super easy to talk to and is just an all around pleasant person to work with. He had a great deal of empathy and compassion which makes Him great at His job. I highly recommend DBH."
"I saw Jim Willis and he wasn't very helpful. I came to them with a single primary concern and he ignored it, focusing on only what he could do (which I could understand). Instead of referring me to someone else, he wasted my time and money. For one appointment, I had a true emergency and had to miss an appointment (their answering service is a joke as well, I couldn't let anyone know I was missing the appointment), I got charged $75. While I understand that's a standard policy, it was my first time, I had hoped I would be charged my copay or have it waived. Would not recommend if you are truly seeking to get psyciatric help and would not recommend because they have no customer service."
