"Check-in process was a little redundant. Provided my information to the person behind the counter, then was given a tablet to re-enter all of the information I had just provided and watched her type into the computer. Described my issue to her and she had to ask if it was something they could diagnose. No problem there. Was taken back to a room and asked what my injury was. I explained, then the assistant asked when I got in to an accident. I stated that I was not in an accident, and she waived a form in the air stating "but I have an accident form here saying you were in an accident!". I once again described my injury and she says she has to check to see if it one they are able to diagnose. I told her the person up front already did so, but she hurried out of the room anyway. Several minutes went by and I started feeling uneasy about the treatment I was going to receive. The two individuals I had already encountered seemed very flustered and slightly unorganized (I had already observed these two arriving to work at the very last second and very hurried and aggravated when they came in). I finally exited the room to find the assistant sitting behind the nurses' station laughing it up with a co-worker. I politely asked for my co-pay refund and she seemed delighted to tell me that the front desk would issue that to me. Called VCU Medical Center Orthopaedics in Stony Point on my way home. Was able to secure an appointment that afternoon and couldn't be happier with the Dr. and care I received!"

"Was told from the billing department over the phone and also a billing representative in person that I did not have a balance with OrthoVirginia. Soon later I received a warrant in debt from their legal team to pay an unauthorized overdue balance which they did not provide medical bills to reflect my balance. In addition to having to pay a bill I was told I did not owe, I had to pay a debt collector as well to avoid a warrant in debt appearance! Will have to now fight to get my money back for a bill I was told I did not owe!"

"Were hesitant to treat me after I told them I had Covid during the registration process. Once that got sorted out (they were in fact willing to treat me), everything was fast. In and out with X-rays in less than an hour. Provider was thorough, staff was kind. Lots of duplicate entry for registration on their iPad and then via a texted link that was annoying and likely very frustrating for older people."

"Walked in, very fast check in. I got X-rays by fast and knowledgeable X-ray techs. Kim Waters checked me over and explained what injuries I had. Drained 27 ml. of fluid out of my knee and a Cortisone shot. I feel great. Ortho on call ROCKS!!!"
