"Not only did Dr. Kim ( Christopher Kim) perform a successful surgery on my torn ACL, he also performed my daughter's spinal fusion surgery. He did a beautiful job! She was out of the hospital within 3 days! Isn't that amazing? The entire staff here (especially Kacie, the PA) is so nice, so welcoming, so helpful, so understanding etc. Etc. Couldn't be happier! I highly recommend this practice for any of your orthopedic needs. They go above and beyond and maybe even more than that!"
"1 star is a generous rating for this practice. Be prepared to be talked down to like you don't know how your own body is feeling. Got constantly interrupted, wasn't listened to, and dismissed. Not doing any business at this practice or ANY OrthoVirginia locations ever again. Do better."
"Waited two hours in crowded waiting room with a line of 14 people just to check in to be completely dismissed by Dr Dumont who clearly was too cool to be bothered by my partners severe pain. He recommended lidocaine patches. Didn’t even do a physical exam. This place is always crowded and be prepared to wait 2 hours to see the doctor for 2-3 minutes. What a joke."
"I came and saw the pediatric ortho, I believe his name was Dr. Kim. I felt as if my issues were disregarded, and as if I was being judged the whole appointment. He told me to stop using crutches without even checking if I could walk without them. I could not. So I stumbled around home for a while. He didn't want to get extra imaging on my wrist either, the hospital told me my knees *and* wrist needed more imaging because something seemed really off. He did none of that. He basically told me to walk it off without actually saying it like that."
"My mom had lower back pain for over a month, we were able to be seen by a nurse practitioner at this location. He has ordered MRI and physical therapy at the same time during our first visit. During the second appointment, we have learned that my mom had a fracture on her spine. Good thing the physical therapy was scheduled after the second appointment. It would be totally the wrong thing to do with a fractured bone. The same nurse practitioner recommended Kyphoplasty surgery and recommended a surgeon. However we were scheduled to be seen by the surgeon’s nurse practitioner before the surgery. Does this place run the the nurse practitioners? We end up went to another clinic and we were reassured that physical therapy would be harmful for the fracture. OrthoVirginia shouldn’t make this kind of mistake and surgeons should make time for their patients before the surgery even it is a small procedure. For a the patient, all surgeries are a big deal."
