"I had the pleasure of picking up a few select students here to meet for one-on-one counseling services. The principal at the time was a lovely person. She and her office very accessible to the classrooms. Located on a busy safe corner near transportation and shopping. The atmosphere in the building and classrooms was so warm from the students, to the teachers and all assorted staff. I loved going here. The teacher to student ratio was excellent and the atmosphere very supportive. Until this experience I thought all charter schools were Betsy Devos policy bad-news. Well reality in D.C. anyway is more nuanced. Next Step helps young people earn their G.E.D. and lead a productive, tax paying, healthy life. Thats a win for all of us!! Truly an asset to the community."
