"I was seen at the Short Pump location for 2 complete ligament tears which I was told by an orthopedic surgeon would require reconstruction. I wanted to get in to see Dr Tejas Patel but he wasn’t available so I got an appointment with Laura Giambra to hopefully schedule the surgery I was told I needed. She told me it’ll heal on its own and I should begin to walk (which I haven’t done at this point in 3 weeks because the pain) and to wait 6 weeks and come back. Since I saw her I’ve seen another foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon - who is wonderful (Anson Chu, ROI) - which said I will need surgery to reconstruct my ankle including adding metal hardware. Giambra didn’t go over any of my imaging with me and told me she was going to have her radiologist reread my MRI report from TriCities to make sure it was accurate. She told me I would hear back from her after 2 days. It has been already a week and a half and I still haven’t heard back even after calling to ask. Overall, she did not listen to my concerns and seemed very rushed to get me out the door. Do not go here if you want to be listened to and taken care of."
"Literally the worse doctor . Doctors are supposed to care about people that’s why they became doctors in the first place isn’t it . So they can help and heal and care for others . But not this doctor. My mother had surgery and 3 days after surgery she started having lots of pain swelling and redness where her surgical incision was. She was in so much pain and worried she may have an infection so we called and they told us to go to the clinic . On our way to the clinic it started to rain very heavily and everyone was driving with their blinkers on because we couldn’t see the road . We arrived to the clinic 8 minutes later and she refused to see my mom who was in pain because we were 8 minutes late . Even after we explained everything and pleaded she refused to see my mom . The nurse went back twice to speak to the doctor and both times she refused . She didn’t care that mom was crying from pain or that she might have an infection after surgery she turned us away for being 8 minutes late . Horrible ."
