"I do not recommend this practice or Dr. Langelier. I scheduled an appointment during the pandemic once businesses were opened. So, maybe a year or so after. The office refused to let my daughter come into the office with me. She was 10 at the time. It was an early morning appointment. So, I let her sit in the car during my appointment. I was extremely anxious about this. Dr. Langelier comes into the exam room sometime between 40-50 minutes after my appointment time. I was so upset. She did not care. She was dismissive and flippant. She does not respect her patient's time and acted as if I was the problem. Obviously, this was very upsetting. Fast forward to the present. I decided to put it behind me and schedule another consult with her. After all, we are past the pandemic and I figured I would start anew with her. I received a call today that she refuses to see me. She did not like the fact that I was upset and she did not like the fact that I voiced my concerns. I am assuming she only wants to see people whose time she can disrespect. Dr. Langelier, if you are reading this I would like you to know that a simple, genuine apology goes a long way. Not to mention your front desk staff is extremely rude. There are so many other doctors in Richmond that are respectful, kind, and punctual. I hope that you get better with timing in your day. Also, why don't you and your office take the time to improve the patient experience starting with the front desk and wait times. This awful experience could have turned out to be a great experience if you and your office actually cared about your patient's time and their experience with your front office staff. I have referred several people to your office, even after my experience because I suggested you were a great doctor. Now, I will refer no-one and I will be sure to let people know my experience with you and your office. Update: I will not be contacting your office or recommending Dr. Langelier or your office to anyone ever again. You can speak with Dr. Langelier and if you want to address this situation then you can reach out to me. I get that you are trying to publicly put this in my court. However, I am not going to allow that. Your office is well aware of how you treat people and how you are not respectful of patient's time as well as the poor patient experience provided by your front office staff."

"It is impossible get an appointment over the phone. The rep that picks up the phone transfers you somewhere else and you start waiting for someone to pick up the phone and they transfer you again. I have been on the phone now for an hour trying to get an appointment. I think I will have to walk in just to get an appointment. EDIT: OMG! Pick up the phone instead of replying to reviews. I am still waiting to be transferred to someone else. I called that number too, it goes to the same person that keeps transferring!"

"My boy has congenital glaucoma. He was diagnosed at 9 months old, he is now 16. We searched for a pediatric glaucoma doctor in the state of Va, there were none. We ended up with LaRossa at VEI. He did awesome for some time, then I asked if he could possibly treat my kiddo (as the years passed and he became a little more wiggly) a little geared towards pedatrics with some compassion.... I was told by LaRossa that he couldn't do that. Very discouraging as he wanted to take on my sons glaucoma case because he stated "he had studied pediatric glaucoma". SO we moved on! We started the travel to Duke to see Dr. Freedom. Best decision EVER! She was telling me about Dr. Marcus at VEI and that she had studied under her. We went and met Dr. Marcus and she has been our routine maintenance Dr ever since meeting her and we see Freedman once a year. VEI Short Pump has the friendliest front staff, always pleasant and smiling. I have never had any issues with Dr. Marcus. She is direct, doesn't sugar coat and tells you exactly what her expertise in her field is. We could not be happier to have found Dr. Marcus."

"I would highly recommend Dr Marcus at Virginia Eye Institute for eye surgery. I was seeing double vision and she corrected the problem with surgery. Dr Marcus told me everything that would or could happen before hand and I am totally pleased with the outcome. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable the entire time with all my visits. Thank you so much Dr Marcus and your entire team for restoring my vision back to normal , I appreciate it!"
