Reviews of Walston Health Services, LLC
"Dr. Walston and her staff have always been helpful, supportive, and accommodating with me as a patient. I’m so grateful to them, because I know they work really hard and provide vitally needed services to so many in our community."
"Great practice! I came to see Dr. Walston for depression. I filled out the patient intake forms, emailed them and attended several helpful tele-health sessions. She prescribed me the meds I needed, answered my questions about the medications and talked to me about other treatment options, resources and "homework" to help me work through it. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find treatment because of my insurance, but Dr. Walston thankfully did take it even though they didn't show up on my insurance's website (I had to call and ask). Other reviews seem to say she's rude, but I've had a great experience so far!"
"Very bad experience. Could not wait to end the call. Dr Walston made me feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. The comments she made towards my symptoms also came off unnecessarily rude and almost dismissive. Not to mention unethical. She judged my symptoms based off a 15 minute VIRTUAL appointment. Basically told me that I was not acting crazy enough to have ADHD and “seem very collected”. When as a doctor, she should know that they are different levels of a disorder and not everyone has to be jumping off the walls at all times to have an issue. She also asked me very unnecessary questions that were very personal, Including what is my nationality? Not only does that not have any relevance to my diagnosis, but also I think she was looking for the word ethnicity instead. Besides being dismissive, and rude, she was also unprofessional and showed up very late to the appointment. She referred me to another doctor who does not seem to answer her phone or messages. Your job is to ensure your clients feel safe and comfortable in sharing their issues. But when you immediately and also repeatedly tell them they don’t have anything without hearing or acknowledging their concerns, you’re being dismissive and frankly, a horrible doctor. Also she diagnosed me from just asking me questions related to my life lol. She was also very annoyed that I wrote severe for my symptoms on my chart. Does she understand that just because during our appointment I was calm, does not mean it’s like that at all times. Does she know that not everyone reacts physically? Also, prior to the appointment she sent me a very rude email demanding I upload my documents or my appointment will be canceled, when in reality I had filled those papers out way in advance. Anyways, would not recommend and I will not be continuing with her or anyone associated with her at all."
"Waited for weeks for this appointment. Received an excessive amount of reminders. Then I was sent an email that said to fill out a mountain of paperwork and answer several questions and to provide a credit card before we even met. And the appointment was supposed to be virtual. Then three days before the appointment I was told that I have to fill out the paperwork online and provide my credit card or my appointment would be cancelled! Wanting to keep the appointment, I did so. After spending a half hour filling out the online forms with their clunky software, it told me to print out about 30 pages of MORE forms and “bring” them to my appointment. What am I going to do with 30 pages of forms at a virtual appointment? The next day I got an appointment with the VA and so I cancelled my appointment. I already was stressed out and not feeling comfortable with this place."
"Stay Away! My first experience with a psychiatrist and it was wildly unprofessional. She was 15min late to our first appointment, ate her lunch during it, barely responded during the entire session, and did not review my new patient papers at all. The second appointment was even worse at a total of 10min, after being late, eating once again, and confusing me with two other patients, and unaware she even prescribed me medication. And when I asked for a prescription refill, it was ignored, nobody emailed or called me back, and when they finally did approve it via phone call, they didn’t talk to my pharmacy for another 5 days. I had to get my pharmacy to fax and call them three times.. after I already ran out of my medication. I’ve been going to therapy for a decade and have never experienced anything like this. I don’t know what kind of business she is running but it’s a joke and scam."
