"Dr Nakib is just that good! If you're looking for a dermatologist, your search just might be over."

"Pros: - I've never had an issue with the office administration, they've been very helpful. Cons (all about Dr. Nakib): - Dr would ask my son his opinion on what medications he'd like, where I had to stop and specify her guidance is what we were seeking, not my son choosing medication. - Dr told me I was wrong to let our son keep taking antibiotic she prescribed beyond 3 months. I don't understand why their office kept refilling the medication if he wasn't supposed to be taking it and I was never told it was temporary. - Dr said during last appointment I never submitted blood work and kept going on about how we couldn't get the medication without it, but I did submit the blood work and we already had the medication. When I brought and showed the medication during the video appointment she changed her story to "sometimes we'll let it go early". She then said we were argumentative and should see another dermatologist. As I was trying to gather information to switch, she then said they had the blood work (it was submitted 2 weeks earlier). Overall: Dr. Nakib seems to know a lot about dermatology, but she doesn't know how to talk to people. I am glad she recommended we leave as I've been extremely happy with our new dermatologist."

"While the office is clean and the support staff are nice, I was thoroughly unimpressed by the rest of the experience that I had at Complete Dermatology of Virginia. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment after filling out all of the paperwork online ahead of time, but had to wait over 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Additionally, I found Dr. Nakib to be rushed and extremely patronizing. She did not introduce herself, ask me questions about my health history or current skin care habits, and seemed to have decided on a diagnosis within the first 60 seconds of seeing me, without even doing an exam. She did not ever touch my skin. I had to wait until she was done lecturing me on how I should avoid added scents in my soaps, avoid fabric softeners, and generally avoid irritating my skin before I was able to get a word in to tell her that I was in fact doing this already. She seemed completely resistant to inquiring about why I came in, the course of my symptoms, or what my goals of treatment were. There was no exam. I am very disappointed that I wasted my time with this office and would not recommend seeing her."
