"I had my first one on one basic fundamental class with Rod, but it was more than the basic class.The class started with the basic rules, how to handle firearms safely, Do/Don't, and with situational exemples. Dry firing was an excellent confidence booster. I didn't know anything about the firearms, and now I am a little more confident. He is very flexible with the schedule, which is very hard to find elsewhere. I am looking forward to the next class in the range."

"My father and two brothers had all signed up for Instructor Roderick's VA concealed carry course in hopes to further our knowledge and become more comfortable with our limited experience with handguns. I can very easily say that this course did just that and much more. "Going into this blind I had zero expectations of what I was getting myself into, but to say I am more than satisfied is an understatement. Rod is an amazing instructor who really makes it feel like the 4 hours is your own time, and he reiterates this many times. Being a first time shooter can be overwhelming, Rod makes you feel as though every one of your questions are important and over delivers in his responses to make sure you understand any techniques, concepts, or general knowledge and I think that is great. I will be returning for private instruction with Rod at some point, and I 100% recommend him for all gun owners, from first timers like myself to experts to take his classes."

"Rod was a very patient and helpful instructor- particularly regarding the logistics of being new to a shooting facility, getting onboarded and getting rounds down range. He was very aware of how shooting techniques have evolved and quickly recognized how my original training had led to what I understood today- and he was able teach me how to improve upon what had previously been ingrained in my actions. Rod did all of this with a student who had a brand new, non-sighted weapon- and he was able to accommodate on-the-fly and ensure that I got the most out of my lesson. "Our experience with tactical trash pandas was great! Rod was very helpful in setting up our training session, and he was very flexible with us. I came first along with our newborn, and Rod had a pack and play all set up for me and our baby. He made me feel very comfortable, and at ease. Rod had a presentation specific to me being a woman and then later, when my husband came with our other three kids ages 11, 8, and 6, he adjusted his presentation and tailored it towards the kids. When they left, he transitioned back seamlessly to finish my presentation and training. It was perfect. The next day Rod took us to the gun range and he was super helpful, careful, and even made it fun! I would definitely recommend Rod and Tactical Trash Pandas company for all your gun safety and preparatory needs. I went from feeling unsure about shooting too very confident in how to hold and shoot our gun safely and well."
