Shamin Hotels 300 East Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23219

"My wife and I stayed in a corner suite in this hotel over Labor Day weekend. Check-in was extremely slow - we did not get our room until 5 PM. The hotel was not clean - there was sand in the hallways. Since there is a disco on the roof, it was hard to get a good night's sleep because of the loud music. After we checked out, I reviewed my bill and discovered that we had been charged for alcoholic beverages at the Empyrean Lounge. Neither my wife nor I drink alcohol. I phoned the hotel to get the charge reversed, and they said there was nothing they could do! Also, they did not apologize for their error. This is extremely poor service for a hotel that was charging us over $700 per night! Unfortunately, this hotel has really gone downhill since it was purchased by Shamin Hotels in 2018. I am a Hilton Honor Member and I am on the Hilton Online Guest Community Team. Unfortunately, the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel is the worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed at."

"Holiday Inn Express Chester, VA Management is the worst. They are in the business of scamming customers for obvious errors made with reservations that were duplicated. Money is the root of all evil and they are a prime example of how businesses will suffer for not being ethical with customers. Double charged us for 2 rooms saying one reservation was in my name and one in my husbands name. Refused to give me proof of evidence I stayed in the room I was charged for and told me I digitally checked in.. but cant tell me how I(who was not even in Virginia) gained access to a room and are refusing to provide me logs of that."

"Hilton honors diamond, stayed at Hilton oceanfront in February. Front desk Offered nothing in the form of upgrades, offered cold cereal and an apple for breakfast. Prior owners of this hotel gave upgraded room and better breakfast.. I could have just stayed at the Hampton Inn. Wont be back to this hotel."

"Shamin Hotels is a hotel management company. We own and operate over 50 hotels in Virginia, Maryland and Florida. However, in spite of what Google says, the building at 2000 Ware Bottom Spring Rd is not a hotel, it is our Corporate Office. We will be glad to help you find a room at one of our many fine hotels, but this location is not one of them."
