Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond Northwest/Short Pump

"I traveled from TX, with different experiences in every hotel I stayed in for the past three days. I stayed here for five nights and I had a great experience. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The service was great. The room I had was very clean, modern setting, amenities with great working condition. I read a few reviews and I really was skeptical on coming here. But I am glad I did. The first thing I did was inspecting the room all around, to include bedsheets... I was satisfied with the cleanliness and the set up... I highly recommend this property. Thanks Sal and Siterria."

"Literally the worst Residence Inn I’ve ever stayed at. Ten years past its minimum refresh date. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite, which was unavailable - at all (which is ridiculous on its face). Rooms are tired and shabby, and both replacements were dirty, and in one the toilet seat was up and there was poop on the toilet. Totally unacceptable for a Marriott product."

"I travel for work and have stayed at 32 Marriott properties this year. This was, by far, the worst property I’ve ever stayed in while traveling, ever. Completely bug infested. Everywhere. On the bed, in the cabinets, in the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting. Told the front desk that I would not be staying because of the bugs and there wasn’t an ounce of surprise on their face when I mentioned it. The place overall is also very run down. Very nice people that work here, but the place should be shut down. Don’t stay here. You’ll thank me later."

"solid location, nice people ..however our room was hours late to be ready and wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The room also had broken and unsafe items such as the oven having metal hanging off it and broken night stand. There were also papers stuffed into the mounting box of the light on the ceiling. Marriott did the bare minimum to help our experience."

"Terrible stay at this hotel. Just awful. Ruined vacation. I stayed with my wife and 1yr old daughter for 1 night. The initial room we were given at check-in had holes in the ceiling because of an incomplete fire-system install (photos included). We were moved to a new room. At 11pm at night the air handler in the room started making a very loud and high-pitched whine at regular intervals(google doesn't allow uploaded videos). We notified the front desk, and showed him the video. He agreed it was too loud to sleep through, but couldn’t do anything as he lacked the maintenance key for our room. As I was packing the car in the middle of the night, I could hear the noise from the parking lot. Our options were to stay at the hotel, get zero sleep, deal with a 1 year old the following day, and drive back home on no rest…. Or cut our vacation short, leave for home (at 2:30am), and maybe get a couple hours sleep before the baby wakes up. We elected to make the dangerous drive at 2:30am. We left a message with the front desk at checkout, no response. We called a few days later, no response. We called again, no action taken from the manager, no response. Called corporate, found our reservation, filed complaint, no response. Been a couple weeks, no refund. This hotel could be nice with different management that gave a darn."
