Reviews
"I truly appreciate the services provided at this facility. That being said, I spent 22 years in the US Army and 4 years in combat as Medical Professional (Combat Medic, EMT, Paramedic and an instructor in many of these areas. Unfortunately , I endured some extremely serious orthopedic injuries, not to mention PTSD, Anxiety, Insomnia, Depression and many other things. I will say that MOST of the staff seem to understand and empathize/sympathize with that. But, I am extremely disappointed in the Nursing Staff and do not appreciate or understand why they treat people like they do or how they are able to continue to get away with such unprofessional behavior. It really needs to be addressed. These people are seeking treatment, including myself; in order to better their lives and personal health. I do not appreciate being treated like a child and being humiliated on a daily basis while these two individuals are working. It’s a very easy and pleasant experience when I, and every other patient, have the fortune of dealing with Nurse Jackie, the counselors, Ms. Asia and most everyone else that are there to provide a much needed service for this community. I listen and speak with many of the other patients and they all feel the same way. It’s very unfortunate that these young ladies are allowed to treat people like second hand citizens when they have no clue about whom they are dealing with or interacting with. They show no respect whatsoever and simply treat all of us like drug addicts and not human beings with careers, family, children and family members. Thank you, I truly hope the right people see this review. God Bless!!"
"Professional, caring, empathetic and a necessary component to recovery!"
"Only methadone option in Culpeper for now but hopefully someone will see the need and that will change very soon. I finally figured out why this clinic is so backwards from anywhere I have ever lived -- the staff is not also in recovery. This, they are judgey, snooty, and have no idea what they are talking about most of the time. I have been in withdrawal 2 weeks and still not even back to my full dose because of the incompetency of this clinic. The only methadone clinic I have ever been to that the staff is not also in recovery. And that empathy and understanding goes a long way. In this case the lead nurse and her little sidekick have zero business in anything with bedside manner but they absolutely should be banned from anything to do with recovery in general. Addicts need empathy, methadone clinics are aware of relapse being a part of getting clean and clinics EVERYWHERE run differently. However, I have been to a few in a few states and this is by far the worse most degrading awful experience I have ever had. Still sitting at 35 mg a week later and I've been there every single day. Lol Please, someone, anyone, see the need and come open a new methadone clinic in Culpeper! Not only will you make bank because everyone will switch to you but maybe you can even get some people in recovery in your office and make a difference too! :)"
