Pediatric Associates of Charlottesville North Office

"Tried to give Dr. Mika a chance after Dr. Reynolds retired (loved him). However, I don't think I should put up with her sarcastic comments and feeling like I'm a horrible parent. I have even told my husband he has to take them (3 kids) because he can let that stuff go easier. But just left the office and looking for another pediatrician. My teenager doesn't like going to her either. All other staff is amazing, such a shame, after thirteen years of taking my kids there now we have to change."

"My son has seen Dr. Gilenwater since birth. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has always treated me and my husband with respect and explains things when we have questions. He’s great with my son he loves him! Becky and all of the front desk staff that I’ve encountered have been so helpful. Being a new mom I called the office a lot in his first couple months of life. Anytime my son has been sick they have been able to get us in on the same day. The only complaint I have is that I have to go to the downtown office for sick visits. Normally he’s already in an awful mood because he doesn’t feel well so having to drive that much further for the appointment isn’t easy on either one of us. Overall I’m so thankful for this office, Dr. Gilenwater, and the rest of the staff!"

"Pediatricians here are amazing. Absolutely great. Can't say enough good things about them. Knowledgeable, patient (we have tested them, for sure), available. Just everything you want in a pediatrician. Now the downside. Business office insists on employing a ridiculously aggressive collection process. They will turn you over to a collection agency if your bill is 1 day late. You call and they explain that it won't affect your credit (as long as you pay within 30 days. After that, bets are off). Still, you'll get a nasty letter from a debt collection agency. Multiple times we never received a bill from them, just one from a debt collection agency. They insist they sent one. Maybe they did. Maybe one of my kids dropped it on the way from the mailbox. Maybe the dog chewed it up. Maybe the postman lost it. Maybe they didn't send it. Who knows? Regardless, like pretty much every other business out there, a collection agency should be a last, not first, resort to collecting outstanding debt. In short, I'd definitely recommend. You don't want to pass up the opportunity to access this medical talent. But, pay your bill on time! If you never get a bill, better be proactive and call them. You don't want to miss the letter from the collection agency!"

"I've had Dr Mika since I was born. I'm 22 now. She has been incredibly helpful to me. I wish I could have her into my adult years. But sadly I'm going to move to a family physician soon enough"

"Any doctor at Pediatric Associates is really good but Dr. Gillenwater is absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable, down to Earth, and is great with my son. He's friendly and is willing to answer any question we may have."
