"The tree is beautiful & impressive but I'm a bit confused on the dates. If the tree is to be over 300 yrs old there is no way Thomas Shore planted it & no way Thomas Jefferson gifted it to him. This tree predates both."
"Interesting historic mansion! Civil war era and Ms. Wendy gave a fine tour of the mansion for 1 hour. It's very worth to see the great magnolia tree in the backyard. It's the second largest one, of its kind, in the world! Wow! Planting some violets will be an interesting idea to befit its name! If you are in that area, I recommend a visit. It's all Free!"
