"Mike managed to repair my almost 20 year old home theater receiver (Yamaha) that hadn't worked in a few years and it sounds just like when I first bought it. I'd highly recommend his electronics repair service for anyone looking to have a broken/defective/older piece of hardware back in tip top shape. He communicated the repair process to me via text so I was in the loop on when my Yamaha receiver was ready to go."
"Once again, Michael did a great job of identifying the cause of the problem on my VCR/DVD combo reader/copier and fixing it - all very quick and in the comfort of my apartment - did not have to lift a finger. He has done at least three previous jobs for me over the last several years, with all of them performed at the same high level of professionalism. I always look up Mike when my electronic equipment starts acting up."
"I would highly recommend Burke Electronics for the servicing of all of your legacy electronic items. I found myself with a great amount of VHS tapes that I wanted to covert to digital files. I had even saved a VCR for the event. However, when I started to convert my first tape the tape played for a few seconds and stopped. I retrieved a secondary VCR player from a family member and that player stopped playing also after a few seconds. Upon an initial inspection the owner Michael accessed it was the VCR tape that I used that caused the failure. Upon a cleaning of the first machine it started to work (mind you the player is 20 years old and works just fine). The second player had further issues so it is still being worked on. I greatly appreciated the service that I received at Burke Electronics. The owner Michael took the time to thoroughly explain his analysis and made sure that I had an understanding of his servicing process. I was fortunate to find a VCR repairman in 2022, I was even more fortunate to find a dedicated electronic repair professional such as Michael at Burke electronics."
"I've been a customer of Burke Electronics and Mike Burke for over 10 years. Mike has serviced a few of my electronic devices (tape decks, record player) and each time have had nothing but great experiences. Recently I reached out to Mike about issues I was having with an old (30+yrs) 5-disc CD player where the CD tray was getting stuck. He came by my house to pick up the player, (which was awesome!), explained the mechanisms that could be contributing to the problem and suggested that cleaning would help as well. I paid his service fee and in about a week or so, Mike delivered the player back and explained what he did to repair it (new parts and cleaning). Unfortunately when I tried using the player that night the CD tray was still getting stuck. Because of the holidays coming up, I decided to take the the CD player to his shop; Mike was apologetic but upfront that replacing parts again may not necessarily solve the problem and given its age, likely other problems were contributing to the issues. At that point I expected to get a refund of the service fee. Instead he surprised me by giving me one of his own CD players he had at his shop! I really appreciated it. I don't know of any technician who would willingly give away his equipment like that. Mike is genuine old school and extremely talented. Sometimes things don't' work out, and we should be forgiving. In turn he demonstrated that he values me as a customer. I look forward to continuing to go to him for all of my electronic repair needs."
