"We stopped by Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center to get maps and Metro transportation to visit Washington DC for our first time. Cami was incredibly helpful. We left ready to tackle a week in DC! Thank you!! ⭐️"
"Once a school building, Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is a good resource hub to visit and learn about the history of Fairfax and current community events. It has good exhibits and information. Staff are super friendly. Parking is easy in the museum’s lot. Through a visit to the museum, we learned about the difference between Fairfax City and Fairfax County, and other places/things to check out. They also have interesting souvenirs of affordable prices. Community members and non-first-time visitors may check back from time to time for events and happenings."
"Great way to learn the fascinating history of Fairfax County, VA."
"A museum with rich resources of Fairfax history. It is located in the center of Fairfax City with attractive landscaping. The building was originally a Fairfax elementary school (1873) - one of “must-visit” historic places in Fairfax City."
"Great local history. Highlights the woman suffrage movement along with providing historical information about the iniquities in society and the fight so far. Those that don't study history are bound to repeat the same mistakes."
