"Eupepsia is always an amazing place to visit. This was my 4th trip and I'm already planning 2 trips for next year. The staff is absolutely incredible and make you feel at home. The massages and services are always great and the food is absolutely amazing! The vegetarian Thanksgiving feast was epic!"
"If there were 1,000 stars, I would give them all of them! This was hands down the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I stayed for 4 nights and did the bestowed package. Every service was incredible. Every employee was incredible. It felt like I stepped into some blissful alternate reality. The daily workout session was killer and easily adaptable. The food…the food was OUTSTANDING. As a foodie and not a vegetarian, I was a little worried about it but I can’t rave enough about the food. The staff are all accommodating and genuinely caring. I will 100% be back at least yearly but hoping for every 6 months. I would move in if I could. If you are on the fence about doing this, take this review as your sign to just do it. You will not regret it."
"After several surgeries and two years of Covid confinement, I really needed a break. Something to de-stress and reconnect with the world. I found Eupepsia serendipitously when doing a search on "best resorts in VA". I didn't want "wine by the pool", I wanted physical, mental and spiritual restoration. I found it at Eupepsia. I was a little nervous about coming alone, as others have also said. I needn't have worried. The staff there is nothing short of amazing. There is an atmosphere of "family" and each person brings their own gifts to their guests. Samar (my initial contact) not only made me feel welcome, but she checked on me every day, provided warm and personalized care, and carefully kept track of treatments and times each day of my stay. The "therapists" there are equally fantastic. Sahar did most of my treatments, and OMG. I am very particular about massages and she and sometimes her sister Dina worked magic on me. Reflexology, hot stone, deep tissue, customized massages for your own problem areas, and the Ayurvedic Marma facial and Abyanga warm oil massages are out of this world. I have never been so spoiled or so relaxed. Add to that the most complete gym I've come across, morning circuit program, daily hikes in the mountains, hot tubs, water treadmills and bikes, saunas, salt flotation, the list goes on. You will never be bored. You can do as much or as little as you like. I spent a good deal of time walking in the breathtaking scenery or just relaxing in a hammock soaking up the sun and the sounds of wind in the trees and birdsong. It was heavenly. And the FOOD. Terik delivered delicious vegetarian meals (several courses) three times a day. I didn't miss meat at all. I was not used to eating that much, but I found it revved up my metabolism, inspired me to get out and move more, and I actually lost weight eating more than I have in years. The social aspects of everyone eating together was such a part of the experience. I met so many different and interesting people. I initially booked a 7 day stay and then extended 4 days because it was just worth it being there. Also, their Covid protocols are strict enough that I could feel completely comfortable engaging with staff and guests without masks or concerns. That meant a great deal. People come to this place for many different reasons. Some are just looking for a few days of peaceful vacay. Other are healing from a variety of life issues, from a death in the family to serious emotional challenges. Still others just want to detox from their stress filled lives. Whatever you are looking for, Eupepsia can probably meet you where you are. I should probably mention that cigarettes and alcohol are not allowed on property, and no one leaves the property (except for hikes) during their stay to ensure Covid safety. (It's 256 acres so you certainly don't feel confined) Also, coffee is only made in your private room to help those who are detoxing. I will definitely return to Eupepsia next year. It's not an inexpensive trip, but SO worth it."
"Eupepsia is exactly what so many of us need: a place to truly rest, relax, and restore. It has everything I was looking for in a retreat, and more. The food is the kind of healthy all the articles and studies advocate for, but which is difficult to achieve in daily life. Meals came mostly from their on-site farm/greenhouse, we’re tailored to individual dietary needs, and were fantastically tasty. The vegan chocolate cake chef made one night in honor of a guest’s birthday may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Not the best vegan thing, the best thing of all things. The fitness equipment is cool, and the exercise pools were immaculate and fun to use. Relaxation treatments were well done. I was amazed by the salt water float in particular. It sounded like nothing, just floating in a pool, but the salt/magnesium in the water took away muscle stiffness and aches like a miracle cure. Also, I was nervous about being a woman traveling alone, off the tourist track. The staff and guests made me feel completely at home. Don’t get me wrong, if you choose to keep to yourself that’s perfectly do-able. But I like to feel connected, and loved the family dinner atmosphere that developed around meals. I had toyed for months with the idea of trying to get a friend to travel with me. Although I went alone, I felt like I went with 10 friends because the conversations around meals were interesting and encouraging. My room was super comfortable, the views were lush and green, and the costs super reasonable. The COVID protocols (guests tested beforehand) made it comfortable to interact with other guests without masks. They even packed me a bag lunch with the most amazing panini ever for my trip home, wrapped beautifully with paper, string, and a sprig of fragrant lavender from the garden. I get the sense this place is a home and labor of love for the staff. As a person who struggles to unwind, it makes me more relaxed just knowing this place exists. I’m planning my next visit, and to head back as often as possible."
