Abingdon Cinemall

"I've been coming here on and off for many years, and here's my thoughts. PROS - The staff is super friendly and they seem to care about their customers and community which is great! - They have the comfiest seating! - The staff will help you with any problem you bring up to them. If it can be fixed they'll fix it! - The facility is always clean - If you have children, a large arcade is available to them CONS - The building is a bit dated, and occasionally you'll get a slight mildew smell in some of the theatre rooms - The popcorn can be a bit stale, but other snacks seem fine! - The screens/sound system have occasionally been a little faulty sometimes causing the audio and screen to be slightly out of sync, or sometimes static during loud parts of the movie (staff will attend to it if you ask it just can be unfortunate if you're already halfway through a movie when it happens) - The audio for some movies is a touch too loud. For quieter movies it's just fine but for action packed, loud movies it sometimes is just a bit too much. I think this has to do with what is required by the producers of the movies being shown and is not necessarily staff decision based since it seems to vary a lot depending on the movie. Did request for it to be turned down once and staff accommodated as always. Overall still enjoyable to watch movies here but can be slightly inconvenient if there is a problem with your movie watching experience and you have to ask staff to fix it."

"My first visit to this theater in years and I was pleasantly surprised. It's well setup from the door throughout and was very clean. Staff was very friendly and worked feverishly to assist the customers. Highly recommend this place."

"We saw The Night Before Christmas. 2adults. 1 child who is 6. The movie tickets were reasonable. Of course we wanted popcorn. We also got 2 waters and a small sweet tea. Our entire purchase totaled $42. This is outrageous! I can buy the movie at Walmart later for $20 and pop my own popcorn and watch it for years cheaper than I can pay $42. The movie was great, the seats were comfortable and the popcorn was delicious but it was just not worth the price."

"For a movie theater this place is generally clean. They are always a target destination for kids parties with a party room in the back and an arcade. They have a lot of theaters so they can show a lot of different movies. Concession stand prices are the same as every theater very high. It is conveniently located right next to a restaurant for those wanting to do a dinner and a movie night. Staff here is always friendly the sound is always good for the theater never to loud."

"We always have a great experience at the Abingdon Cinemall! It’s always clean, the employees are always kind and helpful, and there’s never an issue! The new arcade games are just amazing! We had our most recent birthday party for a 4 year old here and it went great!!! Highly recommend for parties too!"
