"I have known Betsy for years and have always known she takes excellent care of her patients and meets folks where they are with an exceedingly positive demeanor and a solution-oriented attitude. When Publix first took over at this location, she sang from the rooftops about how incredible her new partner was, but it was only relatively recently that my family got the opportunity to see what she meant. My father, not at all easily impressed, is now Kyle's number one fan, and I have to say, although I may be an even more discerning critic than my dad, he has earned my stamp of approval as well! I am so grateful and appreciative of his kindness and generosity of time, knowledge, and effort. When I say that my dad, who does not call anyone just to chat, and can be reticent and slow to warm up to people, has called me on no less (and likely more) than three separate occasions for the sole reason of telling me about some new way in which Kyle has helped him, occasionally without even any request, question or concern from my dad (which makes it extra special, to me), I am not exaggerating. Particularly these days, with the complicated cost-sharing structures, utilization management requirements, exceptions that are left under- or unexplained and the myriad other rules and restrictions governing pharmacy care, it can be very overwhelming for a layperson, particularly our elderly population, to understand the ins and outs. That Kyle takes the time to counsel and educate his patients, and the extra effort to make recommendations that might provide them with more comfortable circumstances, improved quality of life, or save them money, which I know must be more difficult than ever in this climate of understaffing and slashed hours, means the world to my family and me. With his guidance, my father feels comfortable calling me and reporting back his conversations with his physicians and Kyle, and asking for my opinion, and does so with a greater understanding of the factors at play than he has been able to before, which is certainly in part due to the information Kyle has shared with him. This helps him feel in much greater control of his healthcare, and that, I'm sure you can agree, is an amazing feeling for anyone. If you've read this far, then you get the point. If you're already a patient of Betsy and Kyle's, know that the standard of care you're receiving is next level. If you're not, what are you waiting on? I’m so grateful for being treated with kindness and so appreciative for all the help this Publix pharmacy gave me. I’d been getting prescriptions filled at a Walgreens off Iron Bridge for MANY years, but my experience there has been increasingly worse and worse.
