"Great play around for the kids. Lots of benches for the parents to sit as the kids play. Great pathways for biking running or walking. Multiple spots for fishing. Down side limited parking and only one restroom."

"A good park with accessible platforms and plenty of space to walk, jog, or bike depending on your preference. The swings here offer both standard, baby, and assisted seating swings. The space near the park has a number of old picnic benches and the actual park has a covered shelter with several benches available. Dogs are welcome and most dog walkers here pick up after their pet, which is appreciated by those of us with young children."

"It has grass, a playground, primitive bathroom and picnic facilities, and a shady spot under some dense pines. Definitely one of Roanoke's "also ran" parks, which is why I like it -- no sportsball games, few screaming children... it would probably be eerily quiet if it wasn't framed by the greenway on one side and railroad tracks on the other. 3 stars because the road to/through it is one-way and it only has about 12 parking spaces, so if you're unlucky it can be an almost 10-minute loop from the exit back to the entrance."

"A very nice and good size park. The playground is big and handicap accessible. It’s right beside the greenway so you can drive or walk there."

"Wow, this place is great. The playground is so baby-proofed I could actually sit on the bench and watch my kids play instead of constantly dragging them from steps and other dangers haha. It's connected to the Greenway which is pretty cool. My favorite part is the Drive Lane that goes over the river, the river is literally right there at your fingertips. It feels hidden away from the city and that's a nice touch as well. Great place to just escape everything and chill with the kids."
