Wintergarden Pool & Spa

"This place is on the top of the mountain which was freezing that night. I believe it was negative 3 with the wind chill but the pool was very warm and they have several outdoor hot tubs that if you're willing to run out there and jump in are very nice.... Also a very large indoor hot tub connected to the pool which is where I was. Also very friendly staff up there. Greeted with smiles and are willing to bend over backwards to help you out."

"Front desk workers were scattered and booked part of our party for a month later. One even admitted that she messed up the booking, but did nothing to rectify the situation. Once we had checked in we were informed that there were no available lockers and we were told to just leave our belongings on the floor in the locker room. I am typically a women's XL/XXL. I was handed a S/M robe, the same size at my very small friend. I was given spa sandals, one small and one medium. Neither fit and I asked for a large. I was given XXL sandals that were huge, even on my husband who wears men's 13 shoe. It's these multiple small issues that make or break an experience. My friend enjoyed her massage very much. I got a Vichy and it was relaxing. The services were great, but the customer service and overall experience was not."

"The indoor pool is a bit cooler than we’re used to for an indoor pool, but it’s large with depths ranging 3 to 5 feet. Large indoor hot tub- no jets. However the outdoor hot tubs with jets are fantastic and give a beautiful view of the mountains—there are only 3. Probably hard to come by during peak season. The spa itself is exactly what you would expect. It’s overpriced but offers a variety of good services."

"Beautiful location with lots to do and not to do (i.e. just relax and take it all in). My masseuse did a great job but also was very chatty. Just something to keep in mind and to request when scheduling a service. "Snacks" in the quiet room included almonds, Ginger snaps, and banana chips. Drinks were light and included coffee, tea, and water. Sauna and steam rooms were easy to use (which I later discovered 2 more sauna and steam rooms in the women's locker room that were a different style and worth looking into). You are given flip flops in the spa locker room, but not in the women's locker room (so bring your own). And while the spa locker room offers a few complimentary items, like a comb, spray deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a couple female products... It doesn't offer some very needed items like hair ties, hair spray, hair gel, make up remover (or wipes), mouthwash, lotion."

"Wintergreen has upgraded their Spa and Gym... So beautifully decorated for the Holiday Season... The Gym has been increased in size to accommodate more workout machines, treadmills, and bicycles... With the Appalachian Trail close by, it is a great place to get away and enjoy the outdoors..."
