"Rashmi at Salon Allure Lovettsville is truly fantastic in hair coloring and haircut styling. I've been going for coloring for ~2 years and her professionalism and friendly approach always create a fantastic salon experience. Rashmi always delivers a vibrant and natural look that exceeds expectations for my color. I generally go into DC for haircuts but due to a recent time constraint, I had my hair cut by Rashmi. She was also great at knowing the right length and style to cut, while managing my especially hard-to-manage bangs. The distance, cost, and expertise are a huge plus for me and having a local stylist for both styling and coloring is a huge benefit. I highly recommend Rashmi to anyone that's looking for a great experience!"

"I am not someone who normally leaves bad reviews but I feel that the service at Salon Alure was barely acceptable on my wedding day. By the time we left for the wedding (late), I felt awful because the stylist was so stressed and in a rush with my hair and makeup. I booked bridal hair and makeup for myself and 9 bridesmaids on a Saturday morning, 8:30-2pm. We showed up and only one stylist, Rashmi, was there for the first 1.5 hours and then one additional stylist showed up at 10am. Rashmi had told me that she would have three stylists there to make sure everyone's hair and makeup was done in time. Instead, it was rushed and Rashmi was extremely stressed. My hair did not end up looking like it did during the trial (which was also rushed) because she forgot the extensions that I had specifically bought for the updo. I reminded her to put in one set, which she did put in, but then she forgot the remaining 4 extensions and rushed the twists/braiding. Rashmi did most of our makeup in a dark corner of the salon, and only turned on appropriate lighting when I requested it for my makeup. If you book bridal services at this salon, I recommend requesting a different stylist and making sure that they do the entire makeup trial. I only received a $20 discount for the makeup trial being cut very short (only picking colors, no testing of eyeliners, eyebrow shapes, etc), and ended up unsatisfied with how my makeup turned out. My false lashes kept coming partially undone. Rashmi did not seem to have much training as a makeup stylist. I want to support Rashmi and enjoyed talking with her about biology careers, as her daughter plans to go to university in my field. But at the same time, this should not happen to future brides. I hope that this business considers my experiences and improves the bridal services offered at their salon."
