"This is our 3rd rice visiting the Koka Booth Amphitheater for the lantern festival and it has been so much fun each time! It is a great place to take the whole family(we took 5 kids) and everyone has a great time. The displays are absolutely stunning and they change things up every year which is awesome. There is so much to the place and it is such a fun experience. Highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again next year!!"
"We went here for the Chinese Lantern Festival and it was truly a one of a kind experience. The lanterns were so elaborate and beautiful, the kids and I just loved it. It was very busy, so it was a bit hard to stop and enjoy the lanterns. On the main strip you are walking on a sidewalk and there are people walking both ways. When you stop, everyone behind you has to stop, so in order to not be rude, you just have to keep walking. Other than that it was amazing and worth the drive from Charlotte."
"Amazing festival! The lights and performers were super. The parking was very well organized. The amphitheater itself doesn't provide the elevation to be able to see over those in front of you. I suggest taking your time on the long lantern path on the way in. We were in a crowd and moved too quickly through there, so we came back to see it better but once you come in through it you can't go back in there. I loved seeing the kids reacting to the scenes and playing! Super kid friendly."
"Spectacular Spectacle!!! I can't imagine what the setup must have taken. You really have to focus on the fact that everything you see is some type of lantern because it is so easy to forget that given the detail in the exhibits. At first, I thought the tickets were a bit pricey, even for my 3 year old, but after witnessing this years event, I retract my previous thoughts. The event is very well organized and set up. From the parking staff to park staff. Absolutely one of the best places to bring your young ones. As you will see in my photos and videos, there are so many attractions that they can indulge in, and this is what truly makes the price worth it. There's souvenirs, concessions, and more. Nothing is allowed to be brought in from the outside, but they have everything you might need on the inside. One big thing, this is a cashless venue. They accept credit and debit cards ONLY!! As always, this event is recommended for all. This could be a great date night, family outing, daddy-daughter date, or anything else. Make sure your camera or phone is charged, wear comfortable walking shoes, and expect a large crowd. Enjoy this moment of Chinese culture!!"
