"Can NOT say enough about how great this place actually is! Great food, great service, generous portions. Best seafood I've had in a long, long time!"
"I URGE YOU TO GO TO THE HARBOR HOUSE IN Johnson City INSTEAD OF THIS RESTAURANT! IT IS HORRIBLE! We've traveled for many years and been to many restaurants all over the states, yet this is by far one of the WORST customer service experiences ever. We ordered 80.00 worth of shrimp and even had them keep the sides (even though we paid for them) because all we wanted was the shrimp for a family gathering on Sunday, 1/7/2024. We then tipped the nice girl at the to-go station over 20.00. I picked up the food at around 230pm and brought it straight home. My wife, myself, and our son ate some of the shrimp and other items for lunch because there was so much of it that there would have been plenty for dinner left over. Not even 2 hours after eating the food (which was the ONLY food we had eaten that day) ALL 3 of us got sick. Extremely sick with GI issues. So much so that we ended up buying pizza for our guests because we did not want them to get sick also. We bagged up all of the food and kept it to take back to the restaurant once they were open again on Tuesday. We called today (Tuesday, 1/8/2024) and spoke with a very nice woman who stated she was the front-end manager. We told her of the issues we had and asked if we were able to bring back the food and possibly get even a percentage of the money we spent on the food, that We DID NOT eat, back. She said she needed to speak with the owner of the restaurant because he is the one who handles this type of thing. She then returned and said that per the owner "there is nothing we can do for you". Are you serious??? The owner NEVER offered to even speak to us about this. She then said it was up to us if we wanted to bring the food back but that the owner would not offer any type of compensation for the (obviously bad) food that WE DID NOT EVEN EAT. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING!! After speaking further with my wife, she called back to ask to speak to the owner because this did not seem right to us. The manager (same nice woman) said the owner was "busy on the line and made no promises that he would speak with us" regarding this. I admit, this made me pretty angry and upset that this "owner" seems to not care at all about the customers or their experiences. I also admit I got quite upset, not at the sweet manager, but at this HORRIBLE OWNER GUY THAT SHE HAS TO WORK UNDER. In being frustrated at the fact that the owner would not take the time to even attempt to speak with us about this issue, I let a few curse words spill out on the phone with the woman. I let her know that this was not intended toward her and I realized I had made the mistake of cursing on the phone with her out of frustration. After this, she asked me not to curse at her which I agreed and she said she would go try to get the owner on the phone. At that point, it was obvious that this owner didn't care at all so we just hung up the phone. Now, I write this to say yes I made a mistake and will own up to that and say that I should have never taken my frustration out on this poor woman manager who was having to tell us that she couldn't help us. This speaks volumes about the lack of care and concern by the owner that he 1. wouldn't speak to us directly about this and 2. he made this sweet woman do it for him. I do say she did have concern and acted in a way that, if she were allowed to, she would have helped us in any way she could have. Regardless, I leave this review to warn potential customers and returning customers that if you EVER get sick or have any issues with this establishment's food, the OWNER DOES NOT CARE. We have also called the health department about this incident. This was not so much about the money as it was about the EXTREMELY HORRIBLE LACK OF customer Service provided by the owner of the restaurant! To the sweet manager, please go find a better person to work for. You were kind and caring. Also- pictured is all the food that we never got to eat because of getting sick that we still have."
"My family went to this little restaurant in Tennessee the last time they were down here and this time I came along. This place puts Red Lobster to shame and they give you ALOT of food! In fact, the picture of the blue plate with popcorn shrimp on it was a kid's meal! I suggest the choose your own feast pick two or three entrees. Try the perch, its different but good!"
"Waitress is amazingly sweet and hard working. She explains well and tries to help wherever she can. Ask for her . Her name is Sydney . Got the broiled Alaskan whitefish and baked potato best I’ve had since I left the coast. Will eat here again.update ate here again. The broiled perch is amazing. The fried onion was spot on."
"My first impression was, this is a very popular seafood restaurant! It was extremely crowded and it was hot in the dining area, but our wait time was brief for us 5. Our waitress was overwhelmed with trying to keep up with the tables, which, our party completely understood that, given the full house conditions. Our chairs were back to back with the table behind us, leaving very little room to stand up to get out without bumping into the people behind us. It took a long time for our main courses to come out. We ordered house salads, which were delicious. They were out of baked potatoes (2 members of our party ordered them). My sweet potato didn't come along with my dish. It 10 minutes after our food was brought to get tartar sauce at our table. But, the food was great, and it there were some great prices for the combos that were offered. I don't mean to make it seem like I'm focusing on negatives, because the staff were kind and worked so hard, and sometimes there are "off" days. This was on Father's Day, so, maybe it's not always loud and chaotic. The air was stuffy in the dining area, so, I can't imagine how hot it was in the kitchen. I saw one kitchen worker fanning themselves. I just want potential customers to know that they won't have a lot of dining table space between other customer tables (I personally like privacy and I don't like the idea of strangers being too close to my food). But other than that, it was great food, and I plan on coming back with other family members. Perhaps in the future, this great resteraunt can relocate to a larger location to accommodate the crowds."
