"The best deals and customer service. fruit & veg better than expensive box stores."
"I do enjoy shopping and fresh and frozen however they need to stop selling products that are really beat up so badly. They also need to stop selling products that have expired. Clean up some of the areas that are supposed to be white but have so much dirt in it or something with spilled in it take time to tidy the place up. I know everybody's busy and you're dealing with a lot of food but it also looks like there's no one doing any kind. The place needs to be cleaned."
"Very affordable place. If you’re working on a tight budget this is worth visiting. I stayed away from many of the canned drinks due to expiry dates, but there were many things that were there likely due to the bent/damaged outside packaging."
"Let me start off by saying that I've shopped at many salvage grocery stores in my life. Coming to this one was horrific! I've never seen one so under-cared for. This has got to be the filthiest, most hazardous grocery salvage I've ever been to. The entire store smells like spoiled, rotten product, the entire produce section was mostly empty, the shelves were slimy and most of the coolers / freezers weren't operational. (The freezers were dripping water, the coolers were blowing warm air.) I was horrified to see that ALL of the products were FAR past their expiration dates, asides from some yogurt that had a week on it. To top it off, the product itself isn't actually discounted that much, typically it's only discounted by 10 cents to 2 dollars depending on the retail price for an item that's been out of date for 7+ months. If these items were only a few days off they could most likely be salvaged safely but the majority of the store's stock was moldy, had turned to gelatinous liquid with bugs / maggots in them (like the apples in bags) or are simply 7-10+ months out of date. This isn't even about saving money anymore (you aren't saving much coming here, it's about the same price to shop at Aldi), this has gone from a potential health hazard to something that could be fatal. PLEASE beware when buying from here, check your dates on these items or don't go at all (I would suggest the latter.) Consuming extremely expired product like this can seriously send you to the hospital, and coming from someone who's been there, it's cheaper to spend an extra 50 cents on bread than spend 50k on a hospital bill. And as somebody who's worked retail in the past for a massive Florida chain I am appalled by the condition these workers have let this store get into. This place feels like a slap in the face to people who can't afford more. I actually had to double check I went to the same place after reading the good reviews on here, and at this point I'm under the assumption that the 5 star reviews were paid for. So, in short, if you're as strapped for cash as I am, go to a place like Aldi (or Save a Lot) instead, go to a food pantry / food kitchen for food donations, or try to find another grocery salvage! Places like Aldi are around the same price as this salvage and the product won't be expired. You deserve to be treated with dignity no matter how much money you have to spend on groceries!"
"CUSTOMERS SHOULD CK THEIR RECEIPTS CAREFULLY. I have visited on several occasions for the "sale" items only to be overcharged by 50% or more because the cashiers do not pay attention even though they have the sale items listed next to their registers. Overcharging and baiting and switching seems to be their new MO."
