"This has been the worst experience we have ever experienced. They are not helpful at all. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE ALONE! No one helps and they want you to just wing it on line! We went down there in person multiple time and was blown off!!! This is why kids give up on going to college now a days because they are lost and no one is there to help! I am beyond frustrated with this experience."
"This college is still a joke. They spend more time airing their commercials on tv then actually doing their jobs. TCC will repeatedly place you in the wrong courses, literally putting your funding in jeopardy and you will be left with no degree and having to re-take majority of your credits for transfer, at your expense! Time and money wasted. The low reviews are the normal experience at TCC, not the exception. Don't waste your time."
"So far, I've had a good experience with the two instructors that I have had. However, they really need to get more in person classes in the evening for the working person. There, are more people who want to get a college education besides the unemployed. I'm having to take 3 core business classes online because they are not offered in person in the evening at any campus. COVID IS OVER!! Bring back school the way it was intended to be."
"I have always had a great experience here except for a few hiccups along the way. I am currently getting my associates degree and I am almost finished then I will transfer to ODU. They have been helpful from start (financial aid) to almost finished. The teachers here have always been very helpful to me. I am an older student and they seem to really care (in my opinion)."
"I wish I had read the reviews on this location of TCC prior to taking the accelerated EMT course. I have nothing but negative things to say and I wish that were different. I spent 4 years of undergrad at JMU and never once did I have a bad experience. I loved my undergrad. TCC is full of poor instruction, bullies, and abusive teachers. There were students in my class that were verbally abusive, teachers that talked about other students behind their backs and distractingly brought their kids to class often (Amber from the EMT classes), and there was no one who was willing to fix the problems. I passed the class and my NREMT because I did the studying and reading to make it happen. Biggest waste of $1500. It's funny that all of these reviews call out abuse and bullying yet the school has clearly done NOTHING to change it."
