"So many damages. Thing we’re almost just thrown into the back of the truck. At the time I was thankful I paid for the additional insurance… My claim is going on 2 years!!! And they picked up several broken pieces of my furniture with no resolution. Because they wouldn’t respond to me I filed with their insurance company. My claim was denied because they couldn’t get a response from two marines moving. This is ridiculous."
"We moved with Two Marines Moving in February of 2022. We purchased the insurance knowing that during a move somethings break. We've never had a move like this. We filed our claim in within the expected time frame then didn't hear anything from them for more than 2 months. Over 6 months later we're still waiting for a resolution to our claim. Our fridge was packed without padding and scratched. We packed most of our goods but the few pieces of furniture that required wrapping showed up with grease stains or chipped and scratched. They even managed to damage the base of our sliding glass door. We're still waiting to settle our damage claim and there doesn't appear to be a resolution in sight."
"Photos attached are only some of the damage, over 100 photos have been taken. Scheduled a move with Two Marines Moving partly because my husband is USMC and we believed that they would be ethical, professional, and reliable. However, the move started with issues because the packer did not show up for day 1. Day 2 the large team of movers showed up but more than half of the team was inexperienced and unable to carry my bulky and solid wood furniture. Multiple items were dropped and damage was done to the home and furniture. Example: My wood dresser was slid down the wood steps because they could not lift it. They wrapped furniture in cling wrap instead of furniture pads because they ran out. Items were tossed into boxes without padding or packing and are now missing and/or damaged. When I tried to correct them and even stop them before damage happened, they were rude and argued with me. The team lead took the team outside for talks multiple times and ended up sending some of the team home but they still required constant supervision from me. If I didn't have to be out due to closing on my home, I would have sent everyone home and hired JK Movers (who we used previously and love) but I didn't have time, so we pushed through. The team lead promised everything would be taken care of and he himself even took photos of damage and called the office. When they finished unloading at the end of each day, we were asked for payment even though we were told when we scheduled the move that nothing more than the deposit was due until the move was complete and then we had 48 hours to make payment. It has been over a month since we moved and Two Marines Moving will not respond to submitted damage claim forms, emails to the claim office, emails to the claim representative, emails to the CEO, or even calls to the office. We paid for the top level insurance but it doesn't matter because they are ignoring us. Reading claims on BBB, I see that we are not the only one with this experience. Even the BBB has revoked them and given them an F rating."
"I'd like to share my experience with you so you can avoid making the same mistake. Two Marines Moving seemed very organized, exacting in their quote, and had good follow-up up before the move. Plus, I wanted to support our returned troops. But that is where professionalism ended. One item was broken while moving it around in the truck before we left for the new house. The other items were damaged in route. Broken glass, broken wood furniture, dinged walls, and scrapped floors at both locations; the damages are over $4K. It was gross negligence. Here's how they get away without financial responsibility. When you make your claims, they point to a valuation guideline put forth by the Federal Government, which is pennies ($0.60 per lb.). So, if they lose your $10,000 diamond earrings, they say they are only worth $0.60. That's all you'll get: 60 pennies. I tried to explain that they didn't take proper precautions and care to avoid unreasonable damages, but they refused to acknowledge that or negotiate reasonable compensation. Don't hire them for your move. It will cost you a lot more than you plan. My wife's sentimental, heirloom display cabinet, from her dead grandmother: gone."
"If I have a rating below zero I would give 2 Marines that. We had a horrible move from our 2 bedroom apartment to our new home 10 miles away. We had requested for packing and moving service and had received an initial quote of 1200. We later packed everything ourselves except the kitchen, pantry and wall decorations. We didn’t move any big furniture except a spin bike, 2 mattresses, 1 couch and a wardrobe. It took the movers 8.50 hours to finish packing and moving. Now comes the story, we had the worst move ever. They tried to move the couch to the family room and it wouldn’t go through the stair wall. They tried multiple times leaving a huge dent on the roof and several scratches along the stairway. Despite us telling them not to try multiple times for the wardrobe, they continued the same leaving wardrobe broken, wood dent and the stairway scratch multiple times. They didn't have any tools to assist in the move. We had to literally tell them to stop trying and they left the couch and wardrobe in the basement. Our home was freshly painted and the wood was replaced recently. We filed for damage claim and they took their sweet time to respond. They had the worst customer service ever. I sent an email letting them know of my bad experience to which THEY DIDN’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE YET. I have never seen any business not willing to take responsibility for their actions. I wouldn’t recommend 2 Marines to anyone ever. If you request for their moving assistance please be ready to face damages and pay for it yourself. They will have explanations for all their mistakes and the customer service doesn’t even exist there. WORST SERVICE EVER."
