"God led me to this hidden diamond of a Christian school. It is in its second year of operation. The curriculum is rigorous but fun and developmentally appropriate. I say that as an educator myself. My kindergartner is getting daily bible lessons, weekly chapel with the pastor, and a full curriculum in phonics, math, arts, and science. She is being set-up for the Latin immersion classes that start after second grade. This Latin language will help science, high school standardized tests, and other Latin languages be much easier for her. They just added Spanish and a variety of sports too. What I love most are the people that work there and how kind the children interact with each other. The teachers and administrators are definitely spirit led in their service. My daughter went to a different school last year that had great academics but the social component was not the best support for her. She still remembers a child that was mean to her and called her names as well as so called “friends” that did not want to sit next to her. Yet, she called these children friends and clung to the idea that reality was real friendship. It was important to me that she learn a different way of friendship. One built on unconditional love and a decision to give grace and kindness. She is no longer just making the best of it. There is a glow and light about her that is new and one that only God could bring. It is hard to believe that the tuition is only around $6,000 for the academic year and includes before and after school care from 6:30am -5:30pm. They give so much at this school. That is why I offered to help raise funds to revitalize the playground. I recommend this school. Come and be part of a family at Grace River Academy."
