Reviews
"Could not describe this place better than the review stating “childcare without the care”. The school does not care about the safety of your child, period."
"My original review was deleted and the option to review this establishment was removed on Facebook. I want to ensure people are aware of the UN-Christian practices occurring within the summer camp, as many of my friends have children and I do not want families to be exposed to this. It culminated in a near-lawsuit and the last day traumatized my child. 1) my child attended for two summers. No mention of cold policies. No problems. 2) During the second summer, I once forgot to pack my daughter’s lunch. I was a single working mother at the time and quite busy. It happens. I was bombarded with at least 6 calls when I told them I was working and would bring it ASAP. Only after I arrived, driving 45 minutes through traffic, did the director tell me she bought fast food for her and charged me for it. 3) I was in a 3 CAR ACCIDENT. I called. I texted on the app. I sent pictures. I was charged nearly $200 for being late. It was no one’s fault it happened, so I accepted the charges. 4) I texted through the app on a Friday to let them know my daughter was sick and kept her home. They said, okay, I hope she feels better soon. That was all. She has asthma and at the time, we had no idea that was causing her coughing fits. It had been going on since the previous summer. We had tests and told them the doctors said it wasn’t a contagious illness. Again, no one mentioned sick policies to me. On Monday, after I arrived, they told me I couldn’t bring her back without a note and said they’d informed me. I showed that I hadn’t received any messages, AGAIN, until AFTER I arrived. The text was time stamped. The soonest appointment wasn’t for another week and the summer program ended that Friday. I decided to keep her home. Over $200 a week was being paid, already been paid for that week of camp. I asked for a refund. The director said, “that’s not how it works.” Here’s where the major incident began. I went outside to try to set an appointment with her doctor. My child saw her friends and wanted to play with them. I asked the director and the “nurse” inside if she could stay 6 feet away and be outside with the other kiddos. She said no. I expressed that since she’s had colds and no one said a word to me about this sick policy, it made no sense to me as to why she wasn’t allowed to play outside now. To quote her answer: “You’re not a nurse.” But our doctor is certainly licensed. I told the teacher outside that I was frustrated. Inside, the director was talking over me while telling me to lower my voice. I told her if she was going to ask that of me, she needed to do the same so we could communicate. At that point, she said, “I’m calling the authorities.” I did not refuse to leave. I voluntarily, without being told to leave, walked outside and told her my daughter could do what she wished with me. I went over to the teachers and my ONLY words were, “I’m just letting you know she’s calling the police and I’ll file a report as well. I don’t want the children to see it so I wanted to tell you. We’ll be by my car while we wait for them.” After the police arrived, I found out she told them I refused to leave, threatened her and the teachers, and my behavior was making her frightened for the safety of all the children. Never in my LIFE have I been accused of this at a church. She blatantly lied about what occurred and mentioned the two prior events to imply I’m not a woman to be trusted, which had no relevance to that moment. This is why I bothered detailing them now. It’s greedy and dishonest that this policy of refusing to refund payments for services that haven’t even been given is in place at a church-run organization. It’s disgusting that a church director would outright utilize the police system to lie about events and that her actions were defended by the board of directors, who weren’t even present. It is shameful and it’s wrong. Please, if you are considering bringing you children - read over the fine print and be aware these types of people are caring for your family. I am beyond disgusted"
"We shopped around for the best and safe place for our kids to go lean, have fun and make forever friends. We will see teachers and staff out in the community and they always embrace the boys… thank you for being the foundation for our kids future."
"Talbot Park has had a special place in my heart for so long! I went to this preschool, watched my sisters “graduate” from here, and now the next generation is taking over! The people at Talbot Park are amazing! They have everyone’s best interests at heart and do a phenomenal job making all the children feel welcomed and loved. It’s a safe and fun environment for all parties involved. We thank Talbot Park for many memories and look forward to so many wonderful things to come!"
"We LOVE Talbot Park Preschool! As a stay at home mom and student I have had very few people watch my children over the years, but I have always loved how excited both my children have been to go to preK here! Not only has my son been prepared for Kindergarten, but I have felt safe having my children at this location with amazing staff!"
