"I don't even know where to start. The teachers don't seem to care about the kids. Almost daily I come to pick up my son and he hasn't been changed. It seemed like he was left in a dirty diaper. Other times he smelled like poop. He's had diaper rash/abrasions multiple times where he had trouble walking because they weren't changing him. And I'd take him home to clean him and he'd scream and because of the abrasions. I was told that all 2yr olds were being potty trained, and specifically my sound would be put in underwear to facilitate training. Yet I get notifications each day, every day that he's had a wet diaper or bowl movement in his diaper. Every day I'd call and ask what's going on. I'd either get attitude that I need to tell the teacher that he's supposed to be getting potty trained. Or it's a new teacher (every day it's a new teacher?) and I need to tell the teacher he should be potty trained. Or I get contradicting msg that all 2yr olds are being potty trained no matter what, and I don't need to worry about it, some kids just take longer to train. He'll be 3 in a couple months! Depending who answers the phone I get a different excuse. It's very frustrating. I see the same 3 or 4 teachers watching the class, how many times do I have to remind them? Yeah blame the parent, he's at the school for 8 or more hours a day, 5 days a week. I also just get the impression that the teachers don't like what they do. They seem to sit around and let the kids run wild. I don't get the impression that the kids are being taught, and I think there are just too many kids in one classroom. The facility just seems dirty. The younger kids are all in a damp smelly basement. I've also come in multiple times to see dead roaches on the floor. Here's a recent interaction I had with them as an example. Background: My son is supposed to be potty training. They are not potty training him and have not. He'll be 3 soon and in the preschool class. So a few months ago they said they would always put him in underwear so that he learns the feeling of being dirty and will want to use the potty. Great. Months go by and they do not potty train him, in this way or any way. I call just about everyday to find out why I'm getting notifications on their app that my son is wearing a diaper and peed/pooped in his diaper. There's a few excuses they give me. 1. New teacher, teacher did not know he was supposed to be potty trained. 2. It's your fault, you did not being him in in underwear. 3. He's put in a diaper before nap-time, teacher forgot to switch to underwear. Most of the time it's a combination of excuse #1 and #2, where it's my fault. I should have told the new teacher, I should have brought him in in underwear so the teacher knows he's supposed to potty train. But of course it does not matter what I say or do, they just flat out don't train him, whether I remind the teacher or put him in underwear, I eventually get notifications that he's peed and had bowl movements in his diaper. I showed up to the school today and it was crazy, class had twice as many kids in it, they lost my son's sleeping bag and couldn't tell me when they last saw it. They were trying to make it sound like never brought it in. They also lost his extra clothes. When I showed up his pants were soaked, the teacher told me they were looking for a change of pants for him. I asked why his pants were wet and they couldn't answer me. They just said oh we changed him but we can't find pants for him. He was in a diaper all day. They also told me that they would no longer potty train him, because "he wasn't ready". He's almost three and from all the notifications I get from the school he pees on the potty. I wish I could write more and in more detail but there's a character limit to these posts."
"My daughter went to this daycare and it was dirty, staff is different weekly and very slim. They take absolutely no accountability and are completely unorganized and rude. Their bathrooms are full of dirt and bugs, they have a small gate surrounding the play area that can easily be climbed over and dangerously easy for predators to watch kids, or worse. Especially with the VERY slim staff. Many mornings there are 20+ kids to one teacher, and the office staff is rude and condescending any time a concern is brought up. If you watch the "muted" cameras provided you will find endless disturbing incidents that involve the teachers. I have called on behalf of other kids, as well as my own, because teachers were taking kids to the corner of the room (out of camera view), then the kids would leave out crying their eyes out with red faces. The last draw for me was when a teacher grabbed my daughter by the arm (hard enough we were concerned about whiplash) and holding her head down on the cot to "go to sleep". When this was reported, they temporarily took the teacher out of the class and said they will "investigate the allegation", but no incident was reported. When I went up there to DISCUSS with the manager on duty, the teacher bursted open the door, yelling at me. The following day, her husband stopped in front of my car and approached me with hands in his pockets to confront me about his wife. I reported this incident to the office as well, as it was completely unprofessional. By the end of the week, they sent a email advising me that my daughter had immediately been dis-enrolled due to MY behavior?!! WHAT???!!! Apparently another teacher and parent said I had used profanity. Talk about a FALSE ALLEGATION. Luckily, I was already in the process of finding a new daycare. The kicker to all of this is, when I called to DISCUSS the email, I told them I would gladly be up there to pick up my daughters backpack and belongings, and they said I was not allowed on the premises, and they would mail them. Today, I received her items and they had thrown pants covered in pee and MOLD in her backpack!!! We threw it away. From the bottom of my heart, please listen to me when I say STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! You will do better ANYWHERE else! God bless"
"Leigh and her staff are so awesome! We have been attending this daycare for a number of years. There were some issues with the previous management, but Leigh has definitely turned things around. My daughter LOVES all of the teachers that she interacts with daily. Ms. Angie, Ms. Debbie, Ms. Keysha, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Alicia and Ms. Ally have been AMAZING! I would highly recommend Leigh and her team to help care for your child and prepare them for kindergarten!"
"I was a stay at home mom for 3 year years and never left my sons side, and the administrators and teachers here are wonderful with my son. I absolutely love their level of attention to my son. I also love the updates I get regularly as well as the option to check in on him while I’m working. It’s a little pricey, but worth it."
"Our boys have attended this location since it was Children’s House. We have a 4 yr old and 2 yr old. As any parent knows, it is hard putting your child in the hands of others. The teachers and staff at Childtime are very caring and do a great job at taking care of our boys. They have been attending since they were each 2 months old. Our kids love going there and are challenged daily with social development, exercise activities and creative arts among other things. They’re getting a good foundation to set them up for lifelong learning. Thank you for all you do for our kids!"
