"I rarely leave reviews but I think other parents need to be aware. I preregistered my daughter who was 7 months at the time with the understanding she would start in the beginning of November since she would only be part time. The director at the time even gave us the Back to School special on registration since we had to wait. At the time, everything was beyond my expectations and couldn’t wait for her to start. That was also the end of my pleasant experience. In late September early October, I noticed I had not yet received her enrollment packet to be filled out and noticed I had been charged her tuition fees. I immediately reached out and the tuition was corrected but none of my other questions were addressed. A few weeks later I found out that the director and many teachers had left. I reached out once I found and and explained everything about her registration and being charged again and was asked if I could push her start date another 2 weeks. I understood they were still hiring and agreed. I was told them my account would again be fixed and would receive a call to confirm. Again, closer to her start date, I hadn’t heard anything from La Petite. I reached out again and was told my account would be fixed and asked if I could push her start date again to the end of the month and that I would get a call back to confirm…. Again nothing. I stopped by the school to drop off all her paperwork and spoke with the new directory Tina. I was told once again that my account would be fixed and that I would get a call on Friday (11/19) to confirm my account was fixed and that she would be good to start on11/30. Needles to say there was no follow up until I called on 11/29. When I called, I was told by Tina again that she would follow up with me after 10am once she got everyone settled. I did not hear from anyone until I called at 3:40pm. I actually reached their VM system and was leaving a message when I heard someone pick up and the immediately hang up the phone. I called back and explained to Tina once again what just happened to which the reply was “oh I don’t know what happened. How can I help you?” There was no apology or anything… just sarcasm. I told her that I didn’t not hear from her, my account still had not been fixed from being charged for my daughter who hasn’t started, and that I wanted to unenroll her at this point because she has been lost in the mix. Again, I was told they were really busy and will fix my account before closing to let me know it’s been fixed and to make sure I could see it on my side. Tina also said that she was trying to locate my daughter’s file because she didn’t know what happened to it. That has my daughters information, medical information, and copy of her birth certificate … and they can’t find it?!? I asked that it be found and I be given a call back before close to make sure everything has been taken care of and she has been unenrolled. La Petite closes at 6pm and here it is the next day (11/30) and I have NOT heard from anyone. This faculty has the absolute worst communication and while I know there are staffing issues… the lack of communication and sincerity is appalling. They were clearly unapologetic about anything. The overall impression is that they kids are just numbers and money and there is a lack of care that a daycare should have when taking care of children."
"After speaking with the director we had high hopes. We were disappointed. Every time I looked in on the class the kids were wandering undirected. It was free range 2 year olds. They had no controls over who on staff interacted with the kids. Our daughter seemed to have a different “teacher” each day. The communication was awful an injury was minimized. Our daughter was not happy. We decided to pull her after 2 weeks. The director also seemed to be MIA. Also, due to their constant rotation of staff, I’m now sitting in a parking lot waiting for a COVID test with my daughter after an exposure from a staff member. So disappointing. Take your child elsewhere."
"DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! After 6 days of our daughter attending, I arrived to pick her up and they told me there was an incident. The incident was leaving my daughter unattended between 10-20 minutes as they couldn’t specify a time. She’s 1 and anything could’ve happened. How they forgot a child is beyond me. And Emme the director has done nothing to make it right for us while we have been struggling to find a place that has a spot for her! I was quiet to let them have the opportunity to make it and right and they failed."
"This place is somewhere I can take my kids and not have to worry about their safety or we'll being. I got a good feeling as soon as I walked in the door. The staff is caring and enjoy what they do. The supervisor Nivea is very NICE and wants what's best for your child. She has worked with me in many different ways that she did not have to do. I appreciate her a lot. I am so happy I found this daycare for my boys because they love it so far and I love it too. Not to mention, the app where they post what your kids are doing/eating and such is awesome!!!!!"
"My 1.5 year old has received wonderful care at La Petite. The teachers are so very caring and have taken a very personal interest in my son. The teachers and staff treat us like family, which is rare to find. We moved to Midlothian from out of state and they helped my young son adjust and adapt to new surroundings and experiences with ease. I'm so grateful for the care they provide. The longer hours is also a blessing as both my husband and I work extended hours. I highly recommend La Petite at Old Hundred Rd, particularly for the toddler age range."
