"Best place to work with, truly feel like they care. Helped my family once again achieve a goal most people would find impossible"
"I have dealt with this Bank for years now!! Not only do they have the best employees they also take care of their customers. Especially our loan officer Haley E. Jones!! She has helped me and my family for years now and is by far the most professional and courteous banking associate my wife or I have ever dealt with. She cares about her customers and it shows. If you are thinking about going to another bank for anything DONT!! Make Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union your only choice!!!"
"Worst bank ever, rudest customer service in the world and very snobby. Will rack up random fees they will not help with in any situation. When i call the person on the other end has a bad attitude right from the start like the are upset at me for even calling.they are unempathetic and very unprofessional over the phone. They do not care about you as a member and all they care about is the money.i was told by the manager my fees are not her problem and that she did not care about me wanting to close my account. Do not bank with them if you are looking for new banks. Look into chime or another local bank. Loan rates are high and the bank usually asks you to put up all your possessions as colateral."
"I was talked into working with this institution and almost immediately regretted my choice. I had to call and email several times to get a copy of my loan paperwork, as the loan officer that did our paperwork did not want to print it off after we signed it. We live in Bristol and they do not have a location in Bristol. The only ATM's are in local stores and do not take deposits. I found myself in Gray on two occasions and went by the main branch. On my first excursion I found that the drive-thru teller service was not staffed and I had to park and go inside the building. The second instance was last night and I drove by to use the ATM. Of course, the machine did not work. The ATM at the main branch did not work!! It was not out of money, it appeared that it just would not work. Staff seems to be indifferent with one exception, Adam Taylor. He seems to actually care about people and what he does to try and help them. Online access and the mobile app work pretty well, which is why I give ACFCU two stars instead of one. This is definitely not a top tier institution and I will not be working with them once the loan I have with them is paid off. Major mistake on my part."
"Very disappointed in the customer service. My husband passed away and we had a bill he paid with the credit union. His death was very unexpected and in the following weeks I had a lot to process. One of those things was his bills. I got a late notice on our payment and I immediately called to pay and I explained the situation and was still charged a late fee. As far as I know my husband had paid well and on time and given that I called immediately after being notified I was late I would hope that customer service would have been understanding. Not only were they not understanding they were rude. It's several months out and this still weighs on my mind. In a time that so much was going wrong, they had an opportunity to show grace and compassion and they chose not to. It was only $12 but it is $12 dollars that will keep me, as well as my family, from doing business with them in the future and if you are reading this maybe you too."
