The North Fork Sportsmans Club, located at 129 Battleground Avenue in Saltville, Virginia, is a community organization dedicated to promoting and providing a safe environment for shooting sports enthusiasts. Annual membership dues are due on April 1st, with rates of $125 for single members and $175 for families. The club year runs from April 1st to March 31st, and membership can be renewed at any time.

The club was founded by a group of local citizens who recognized the need for a facility where individuals and families could engage in shooting sports. They also saw the importance of providing a place for organizations like the Boy Scouts and 4-H to teach youth about firearm safety and proper usage. After negotiating with the Town of Saltville and the SIDA, the club purchased a 265-acre tract of land known as the Harper Boundary in 2013.

The North Fork Sportsmans Club offers a variety of shooting disciplines, including IDPA Matches, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and archery. The club is now looking for individuals and organizations who share their passion for shooting sports and are interested in developing the facility further. Plans include offering training in archery, skeet, trap, rimfire rifle, air gun, and handgun disciplines.

With the recent purchase of 265 acres, the club is excited to provide a space where young people can learn about shooting sports in a safe and educational environment. Local 4-H and Boy Scouts organizations have already expressed interest in utilizing the facilities, and hunter education instructors are eager to provide hands-on training.
